01.01.2022 Right Place, Right Time by Andy Ferguson is our 12th and final episode of Season 1 of 11 Degrees, Songs of Melbourne. Andy Ferguson landed in Melbourne in the s...ame spaceship as Luke and Jimmy during the great Yeppoon Musical Mafia Migration. Being part of a race of master beings, Andy has always dazzled us mere mortals with his superhuman guitar chops, kick-ass voice, songwriting and multi-instrumental skills. I first heard this tune back in the Earl Grey Policy days, and have loved it ever since. It is also featured on Doc Halibut’s Lucky Star album. If you are unfamiliar with Andy’s work, please check out Doc Halibut immediately after watching this video. Ben Wiesner set the tone and vibe of this version. Dash McIvor was given the job of upright bass and handed it back with a very rad red 12 String Rickenbacker and a mandolin solo. Nicholas Roy gave it the pretty stuff, Mark Brunott brought the epic guitar solo. Rell secret weapon Cummings graced us with her harmonies.
