19.01.2022 Story Time Everyone, meet Valda Valda is a good friend and client of mine, I met Valda about 4 years ago when I sold a house in her street. She invited me... around for a cuppa and to let her know what her home was worth. From that day 4 years ago Valda and I have stayed in touch quite regularly, every time I am near her home I drop by the bakery and pick up a treat and drop it around and if I have time I’ll stay and have a coffee and a chat Valda is a trooper, she is nearly 90 years old and still lives by herself, she doesn’t have any family in Toowoomba just her friends from church. Unfortunately about 12 weeks ago Valda had a fall at home and broke her hip, so she made the decision it was time to sell and move to a more suitable place with less stairs. I was privileged to take Valda’s home to market which we sold before Christmas after a few short days! I’m so very happy for her and she is over the moon as well So today I crossed my whole day out in my diary and Valda and I hit the streets and visited some retirement homes in town & I think we may have found Valda’s new digs If you have stuck with me this far thank you in 2021 I have decided to share with you all what really makes me tick, what lights a fire in my belly when I wake of a morning....this is it! It’s great to sell a lot of houses and get street records etc but let’s be honest, no one cares! Don’t get me wrong I love doing those things but it’s not why I work so hard, it’s for moments like this, helping people is what I love more than anything else. So get ready for more stories like my good friend Valda (while still letting you all know how great an agent I am ) My wife asked me this morning what was my favorite part about hanging out with Valda and I said after every time I speak on the phone or leave her house while I’m walking down her front steps she says to me, God bless you Robbie Witt it makes my heart so full thanks for allowing me to help out Valda, you have given me way more than I have given you I promise! Our coffee and cake visits won’t stop

For starters, it's super economical. Save energy by not turning on your indoor lights and just let the sun do its work. 09.01.2022 THURSDAY TRIVIA 1864 Toowoomba became the third Queensland town (after Brisbane and Rockhampton) to have an officially-proclaimed prison. It was built with clay bricks made from the clay dug up from Queens Park. Toowoomba was also the first Queensland town outside Brisbane to host executions. A total of four men were hanged at the prison during 1864-70.... The jail covered the area now occupied by the Park Motor Inn. The jail was closed in 1903 and the prisoners were transferred to Boggo Road Gaol. Some of the hand-made bricks from the demolished jail were used to build the Boer Wall Memorial Gateway near the Mother's Memorial.
