21.01.2022 Celebrating the voices of Aboriginal educators. Happy NAIDOC week. https://www.pademelonpress.com.au/voices-visions-9781876138
21.01.2022 Next week is NAIDOC week and what a beautiful book to deepen your understanding of Aboriginal perspectives and experiences... "This book reflects the stories o...f practitioners in Aboriginal early childhood education in Australia. It is not just their stories, but a text for how Aboriginal worldviews and frameworks are incorporated in what they do. As Aboriginal people we have always had to conform to a Western schooling system, one which does not fully appreciate our knowledges. In what you are about to read there is an implied but silent script in that, ‘you listen now and let us tell you’." https://buff.ly/365TRKH See more
20.01.2022 It looks like the website has taken the weekend off! For anyone trying to purchase books, please send a message or email to [email protected] and we will be in touch. Thanks
20.01.2022 Sending book love out to Bunurong Country.

18.01.2022 As NAIDOC week 2020 draws to a close, we are reflecting on knowledge gained, change goals identified, relationships fortified, world views studied. Through reflection, we grow. Voices & Visions (the beginning) invited us to sit down in a warm and intelligent circle of Aboriginal women and Aboriginal educators. We listened to the yarning and, if we listened well, we heard that there is so much more to hear. What will a Voices & Visions mark II (let's have a cuppa and keep yarn...ing) look like? Our belief at Pademelon Press is that authentic Aboriginal early childhood education can only be a story told by Aboriginal educators. We commit to continuing to provide a flexible space where Aboriginal voices can be expressed in whatever way the speaker finds appropriate so that non-Aboriginal educators feel safe and supported in their work with children authentically embedding Aboriginal concepts into their teaching. Educators are key to this process. You are the bridge between theory and practice. Come, let's go for a wander and walk this path together. What would you like to hear about in a Voices & Visions mark II? I am honoured to live and work on the land of the Wadi Wadi people and I pay my respects to all Elders. This picture shows Doctor Karen L Martin holding the first Voices & Visions. Karen is a gentle powerhouse. An Aboriginal woman, with a PhD in early childhood education, a heart as big as the sun and a way of sharing knowledge that is so wonderful. Karen and I would love you to join us on this walk and talk.
18.01.2022 A box full of Goodness! New stock just arrived.
17.01.2022 Including Aboriginal place names in addresses. Starting from this NAIDOC week, we will be including Aboriginal place names in our mailing address labels when we post books to customers. We encourage you to find the Aboriginal name of the Country you are on and include it in your address when you send us an order or place an order on the website. This is one small way we can acknowledge the lands we live and work on and honour the theme of this year's NAIDOC week #alwayswasalwayswillbe Pademelon Press acknowledges the Wadi Wadi people, who are the traditional owners of the land we live and work on.

10.01.2022 I love that this book has been published and the spiel about it. Pademelon Press is a true independent small publisher. I've been helping my authors have their voices heard for over 30 years and there is no greater honour. I love my work and my authors, and I acknowledge the deep thought they put into every word on a page and the support they give me and Pademelon Press through the hard times. We wouldn't be here without them. Thank you, TEAM PADEMELON. If you are or you know a Pademelon Press author, please tag them and share.

Also, Pademelon Press gift vouchers are available as the perfect gift for colleagues.
