22.01.2022 DIETS ARE TYPICALLY NUTRIENT DEPRIVATION MASQUERADING AS WEIGHT LOSS SOLUTIONS Our latest blog post is up on our website (link in bio) if youd like to learn more about what works when t comes to healthy eating and weight goals! How many times have you tried the latest diet from keto, to paleo to the Atkins diet; you lose the weight quickly at first, only to stagnate after a period of time. Within a year or two youre back where youre started, if not heavier than... you intended and this time you find youre really struggling to drop the weight you want to easily unless youre cutting back on your food drastically. Or, the moment you have something outside of your regimented diet your gut pays for it in the form of bloating and an upset tummy (yes, our gut microbiome is sensitive to these changes). 20.01.2022 A cheeky post to highlight a serious topic! Okay, so we know its a bit of an awkward one, but the topic of gut health is, well, pretty damn important! Gut health is fundamental to overall health and wellbeing and its so important to get enough of the right fibre in your diet as to feed the good bacteria. 4 GUT HEALTH FACTS ABOUT OUR GRANOLAS AND HOW THEY ASSIST WITH KEEPING YOUR GUT HEALTHY:... 20.01.2022 Prebiotic & protein chocolate bark | Did somebody say high protein and high fibre chocolate? So, a couple of weekends ago I decided to try making some chocolate bark. Quite literally I woke up Saturday morning and thought it was something I could whip up quick. I wasnt disappointed! I seriously havent been able to stop raving about how delicious this high fibre and high protein chocolate bark is. Its great served as an after dinner (or any time during the day if yo...ure a chocoholic like me!) treat and is beautiful sprinkled over your favourite ice cream. ------------------------------ What youll need: Your favourite @padma.wellbeing plant-based protein granola. Dark chocolate chips. Baking tray. Baking paper. Two pots, one smaller than the other. ------------------------------- SHOP: Just head to our website, link in bio, to get started. NOTES: I used Sweet Williams vegan and gluten free chocolate chips as you can get them easily in any supermarket. I used about a third of a bag of granola for my ayurvedic turmeric & chilli half of the tray and half a bag of the lemon myrtle & hemp for the other half. My chocolate bark was about a cm thick but feel free to experiment. Try it, tell us what you think and send us your best picture of your Padma granola chocolate bark and you may be in for a surprise. 10.01.2022 Ive been doing a lot of reflecting about Padma Wellbeing of late. Its been a year since I first embarked on this journey. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it was going to grow so quickly, and this is simply the beginning. Padma Wellbeing started off as a hobby. Sure, I had big dreams. Ive always had the mindset that we are all put on this Earth for a purpose. I felt mine was to leave this world a better place than I found it, to leave a lasting, positive legacy, to... help create change and empower people. I felt I could do this best by providing people with better food choices whilst reducing the impact on the environment. Its been challenging. Lately Ive been waking up wondering what compels me to do this. I poured every single cent of my savings (and beyond) into this, every single cent not used for bare living essentials from each and every paycheck when I was working (before I was made redundant late last year more about this in another post maybe). Ive put the home I worked so hard for, on the line. In the last year, weve nearly gone bust not once but twice! Ive gone weeks skipping meals most days to save to pour into the business, we won an award (yay!), I got made redundant, had someone methodically try to destroy me personally for their own personal gain (ah ha but they didnt in the end), lost our previous kitchen arrangement unexpectedly which meant we couldnt supply granola for two months (but led us to securing our very own dedicated kitchen and warehouse) and most recently had our brand new premises broken into and stolen from. So I wonder, what compels me to keep going? I know that in my heart, one day, it will all be worth it. I believe sowing the seeds for change will shape our future. I believe we have the power to reduce the incidence of modern diseases like diabetes and obesity and through our success, alleviate some of the most pressing issues especially impacting developing countries. I believe we have the chance to push for greener alternatives and wholefood products that reduce the strain and impact on our environment. Im just an ordinary girl. Will you dare to dream like I did?

10.01.2022 MONDAY MOTIVATION | Whether it’s that job you’re chasing that you feel might just be out of your reach (how often do we not try for something because we’re afraid to ‘fail’ or be disappointed?), quitting your job to pursue your side hustle full time, making that career change you’ve been considering for a while now, or leaving that ‘secure’ job for a job with a start-up sometimes you’ve just gotta take that plunge and just do what you’re afraid of doing! You’re stronger and more resilient than you give yourself credit for, and your tenacity will carry you through to even greater heights of success! Trust yourself and go for it! Life is an adventure! 04.01.2022 I cant stress the importance of eating a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet. Eating healthy isnt about paleo or keto. Its about making sure you have the right nutrients and fuel for your bodys needs. It means consuming fresh wholefoods, eating a variety of vegetables and low sugar fruits. Its not about excluding food groups or cutting out legumes or healthy carbohydrates. In the short term you may feel like you drop those kilos youve been wanting to lose, th...rough diets or juicing. But at the end of the day it shortchanges your body and deprives you. Its all about balance. : @the_sunkissed_kitchen
