24.01.2022 Early Childhood Educator Day is on Wednesday 2nd September 2020. This is a day that we can especially show our appreciation for the awesome work that our Early Childhood Educators do everyday. At Play N Learn we are lucky enough to have such a talented & amazing team of Educators who work so hard day in & day out. Early Childhood Education & Care can often be a thankless job & so what better way to make Educator's Day unlike any other day than to post your appreciation to o...ur wonderful Educators. 24.01.2022 Today is bitter sweet as we say goodbye to Miss Jess who finishes with us today to go on Maternity Leave. Whilst we are super sad to see her go, we will also be eagerly awaiting the exciting news of the arrival of baby #2. We would like to wish Miss Jess & her family lots of well wishes & love for their growing family, as well as thank Miss Jess immensely for the many years that she has been such a fantastic Educator & valued member of our Play N Learn team. We will miss you loads

20.01.2022 Jeans for Genes Day is next Fri 7th August. We look forward to seeing you wear your jeans to kindy all next week & are encouraging a gold coin donation to contribute to help raise awareness & support organisations to transform the lives of children living with genetic disorders, cancer & epilepsy. All funds raised by centre donations will be matched by our service so let’s all jump on board & donate generously

20.01.2022 We would like to introduce Miss Siobhan who has taken on a part-time Educator role within our service. She holds a Diploma in Children’s Services qualification & will be primarily working in our Garrawi Room. 18.01.2022 We had special visitors for lunch today with Miss Hayley & baby Knox & Miss Jess & baby Kieran popping in for a surprise visit for all the children who were all very excited to see their teachers with their bubbas

18.01.2022 Garrawi’s enjoyed an extension of interest based learning today through their engagement in a sensory snow activity. Educators planned this experience after several families had made trips to the snow over the last months. Facilitating experiences based on current & common interests is a key strategy used by our Educators to scaffold intentional teaching & promote heightened learning. So many opportunities for learning open up when children are engaged & enjoying what they are doing

15.01.2022 Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening (STEPS) took place today. With parent consent all preschool age children are eligible for a free eyesight screening prior to commencing Kindergarten next year. A fantastic Government health initiative aiming to identify any concerns prior to the age of when eyesight problems can become irreversible. Facilitated at our service in a COVID safe & familiar environment, our children engaged in the fun games without even realising they were being screened

09.01.2022 We were very lucky to have a special visitor this week at Padstow Play N Learn. Healthy Harold is a lovable and friendly giraffe that is a passionate advocate for the health and safety of children and their families. We loved learning and chatting about healthy lifestyles and important safety messages. Our favourite giraffe was Covid Safe, so the program was delivered a little differently this year without photos with the children but we hope you enjoy this cheeky picture of Harold

02.01.2022 Friday 28th Sept is Footy Colours Day; a national campaign to raise funds for kids with cancer. We are encouraging footy colours to be worn all next week with gold coin donations (FYI Raiders colours are heavily encouraged )
