22.01.2022 The beginning of the 2021 school year is not far away. Here are some helpful tips to make starting school more comfortable for our new students.

19.01.2022 If you have not already, please see the School Closure letter that is on SkoolBag and was also sent home with the eldest child in each family this afternoon. We are aware that at this time, the following school events are impacted by the state-wide lockdown and will not occur on November 24th: - First Preschool/Pre-entry transition day - Preschool/Pre-entry Info session... - 2021 Preschool/JP Integration session - SRC Tuckday We will endeavour to provide further information regarding these events when it is possible. This week’s addition of the newsletter will now be delivered next Thursday. We hope everyone stays safe and well!

19.01.2022 Year 4-7 Camp starts on Monday. The bus will be leaving school at 8:30am so please arrive by 8:15am to ensure everything can be packed and the group is ready to leave on time. Please remember that children will need packed recess and lunch for Monday only as well as their water bottle and a bucket hat.

18.01.2022 Thank you to those who were able to attend our Term 3 Assembly. It was a unique experience as we hosted it outside. Being underneath the new basketball shade structure gave us enough room so that we could have some parents join us once again to celebrate learning. The Preschool children shared a lovely rendition of ‘A Sailor Went To Sea’ before the R/1 Class presented their History posters about special places. Our 2/3 students taught us about how water travels to homes and different parts of the cycle. We listened to a brilliant thunderstorm created by the 4/5 Class using body percussion and then the Year 6/7s shared their learning about poetic devices. A fantastic effort by all!

17.01.2022 What a brilliant day we’ve had at the School Fair! Thank you to everyone who was able to share the day with us, helped out with preparations at home and pre-ordered. The students did a fantastic job of setting up, running their stalls and putting all their plans into action. We are so grateful for the outstanding effort our students put into the School Fair today and for all the support shown by our wonderful community.

12.01.2022 Apologies - The previous post said that there would be no further Milo Cricket sessions due to the next two weeks of cancellations. At this time there WILL still be the final session for the year in Week 8 (3rd Dec).

11.01.2022 The Pre-Entry and Preschool children had their first transition visit this morning. They had a tour of the school, met the staff and learnt about who can help them in our site. They enjoyed their time playing games, familiarising themselves with the JP students, space and equipment as well as getting to know their teacher for next year. What a great morning! We look forward to their next visit!

10.01.2022 As directed by the SA Government yesterday, a reminder that only the children of essential workers and vulnerable children will be able to attend school or preschool. A skeleton staff will provide supervision but not a learning program for the remainder of this week. Thank you to those who have contacted the school if your child needs to attend today as it important we know who we will be expecting and providing a safe place for other than when they are at home. Anyone visi...ting the school for postal deliveries or essential workers dropping off/ picking up children, should wait outside the Front Gate. If you are picking a child up during the day please call the Front Office 08) 8765 5028 and remain outside the gate. A staff member will be waiting to receive the expected children from the Front Gate in the morning from 8:30am and will return them to the same place in the afternoon at 3:30pm. Everyone please make sure you have access to the school Facebook page and SkoolBag as well as SeeSaw for your child’s class. We will continue to deliver information to families via these platforms as it comes to hand during the next few days. We understand that this is a challenging time for all and appreciate your support by staying safely at home whenever possible. If we can provide further assistance or if you have questions, please call the school. Stay safe and well! - Corinne Mowat
