24.01.2022 Now, I know there are a few Brisbane people that are coming to the event and if you have not been to Cobbler West End, well you need to get yourselves in there... Cobbler boasts an astounding 400+ whiskeys from all over the world (Scottish, American, Canadian, Irish, Japanese and Australian varietals). Upon your visit to Cobbler, you can select from the extensive cocktail list (changed seasonally). We also have a variety of beers on tap and a large range of tequila. Cobble...r is a beverages only, walk in venue where you can BYO food. Their aim - provide down to earth service, good chat, zero pretentiousness and a great bar experience, complemented with abundant knowledge. This is a must do... https://www.facebook.com/cobblerwestend
24.01.2022 I don't know about you, but I love games and tonight's post is all about the ladies game on Saturday. I love my handbag, possibly too much. I have had this specific handbag (pictured) for 6+ years now, shes been everywhere and carried so much within her soft leather and studded walls. It is certainly starting to show and her time as my vessel for much "stuff" is soon to come to an end. Alone it weighs approx 1kg and when I fill her up, which is quite regularly, it swells and ...along with the weight it sometimes becomes just too much to carry around. So I have to clean it out every now and then and tonight was the night. I found some interesting things inside... "Who's got this... in the BAG"
22.01.2022 I know the tickets say "cent auction" but on Saturday it's "CASH AUCTION". Each sheet will cost $10 giving you 20 perforated tickets. There will be a choice of prizes and jars to match. You'll tear off all your tickets and then place them into the associated prize jars. At the end of the day we will draw the prizes. So... please bring CASH on the day so you don't miss out on being in the running for some great prizes.... Sunshine love into the universe for Saturday. See more
21.01.2022 On event day, every one of you will have the opportunity to bid for a stay at Papaya Villa. Located on the beach, Eton Reef on beautiful Efate Island in Vanuatu. The island is well known for its beauty, pristine environment, happy people and secluded getaways. Papaya Villa is directly positioned on Eton Beach with 1.6 kilometres of private pristine beach and coral coves. The facility has a wonderful access through an old copra plantation which gives way to the private Eton B...each. Papaya Villa uses sustainable technologies to ensure a low impact on its immediate pristine environment. With the abundance of beautiful papayas growing wild on the property, Papaya Villa seemed a fitting title for this truly pristine beachfront villa. Papaya Villa removes you from the incessant buzzes, beeps and rings of personal devices. Papaya Villa is a true electronics-free vacation a holiday from the technology that threatens to overwhelm day-to-day life. That’s right, no mobile phones or wi-fi, cell phone reception or gadgets you simply unplug and get your life back Your digital detox inspires you to sip beverages, play board games and read, or maybe walk your own reef or one of several private beaches. No more being annoyed by someone talking loudly on their cell phone. Take a break from checking emails and voicemails multiple times per day on holiday, some have been tempted to throw their mobile devices into the ocean! Papaya Villa is the perfect location where tech-weary travellers and stressed business owners go to unplug... http://www.papayavilla.com/

19.01.2022 Evening all, well I just finished writing the Trivia... There will be a total of Five Rounds, and in the last round everyone gets to use not only their smart brains but their smart phones to find the answers... that will bring a whole new level of laughter I reckon, as the time will be limited per question. I did a test run and my fingers had a mind of their own; too funny. One round will be about Vanuatu and the main reason we are FUNdraising and donating to our Charity of C...hoice "Hope for Health Vanuatu" (that's a clue to do a little research) and with a total of 30 points up for grabs, the winner/s will walk away with a gift pack from Salumi Australia. BTW you can go it alone or you can partner up, we don't mind as long as you have fun, give it a go and of course you will have to share the prize if you do partner up. Good Luck everyone! https://www.facebook.com/Hope-For-Health-Vanuatu-146023140/

18.01.2022 Sometimes amazing things happen when you least expect it. Today I went into Budget Car & Truck Rental Ashmore to pick up the van to move all the "stuff" for tomorrow's event. Well, Joe and I were chatting and he asked me what I was doing this weekend as I was renting a van. I explained the whole event and we talked about the charity, cervical cancer and a few other things. I then went to pay and he advised that he was only going to charge me $140.92 to hire the van until Su...nday, that was a $130 discount to what I was originally quoted when I booked online. He said it was there way of contributing. BUDGET YOU ARE AMAZING! So a huge thank you to Joe and BUDGET - 32 Central Park Ave ASHMORE, QLD 4214... You Rock and I am extremely grateful for the donation of a huge discount. Oh by the way he threw in the trolley too... https://www.budget.com.au///queensland/gold-coast/ashmore

13.01.2022 Thank you De Bortoli Wines... Upon arrival we'll be serving King Valley Prosecco. Over the past few years Prosecco has taken the world by storm. Gently savoury with fine bubbles, this delightful Prosecco from the King Valley is perfect for our event. Followed by La Bossa Pinot Grigio - this light, refreshing white wine has a citrus tang and herby aroma that will delight you as it the perfect drop to serve with seafood or you might like to try La Bossa Merlot - a plush red win...e, bursting with juicy, cherry flavours and an earthy vanilla scent. This year we are just lucky enough to have our son Dominic Xavier here, fresh from Berlin and Europe where he has been working as a bar manager at the http://michelbergerhotel.com/de/ and also doing numerous guest bar appearances around Europe. Dom will be tending to everyone and joining in the fun. Check out De Bortoli's new website and the personalities behind the company and the stories behind their wines... http://www.debortoli.com.au/our-news/

05.01.2022 Evening everyone, as I just watched the sun go down I know that we have been blessed for tomorrow. This is my last post before the beautiful day we will all awake to.. So a little housekeeping for tonight... There is a toilet on site and no, its not a "Donga" lol!... Ladies I suggest you leave the stilettos at home as we are on grass. Bring a hat and sunglasses as it is going to be a sunny sunny day (just putting it out there once again). We are under the tress but the sun will still get through. I will have tropical strength spray in case of little bities. There are place tags this year so look out for yours and if you cannot find your seat, just ask myself or Taryn and we will point you in the right direction.
