08.01.2022 As a product of the 18th Century, canals became a reliable means to transport large quantities of goods and commodities, yet they are still as productive today as they were back then. When we think of infrastructure projects that create enormous efficiency gains for society we tend to think of tunnels and bridges. But don’t underestimate the impact that a canal can have upon the transportation of goods. Simple, efficient, and of course valued for their profitability.

03.01.2022 Is investing in the Australian Property Market the GOAT? We reckon so! In this episode, Jeremy Calnan talks about why he thinks the Australian Property market has reached GOAT status for investors and homeowners alike.... From record low interest rates and coronavirus infections; to massive government stimulus programs to reinvigorate the Aussie economy. Massive infrastructure spends have been announced by our governments as well as the fast tracking of major projects, all of which MUST lead to higher land and real-estate prices. Now with the recent removal of the Responsible Lending Requirements its all systems go for HUGE amounts of credit to be created for the second half of the cycle - driving Australian Property prices sky high. To see and understand the cycle in action and in particular the changes and implications to the banking system see https://calnanflack.com/enjoy-the-boom/ Australian Property; the GOAT. 03.01.2022 You've heard us shouting it before... "everybody loves property. We buy it. We sell it. We rent it. We eat in restaurants and hotels. We visit parks, sporting arenas and libraries. Sit in school hall and offices. It's everywhere, we are literally surrounded by property and touch it with every step we take." But who designs all this stuff? Where does the inspiration come from?... Given how our lifestyles have changed over the decades how have these structures changed with consumer demands? An Architect must have an eye for design and head full of solutions . See an Architect is part artist part designer, negotiator and at times a client mind reader, the minister of finances and a whole lot of problem solver. Here to discuss all this and much, much more is Marie Carrel of Planet Architecture. https://player.captivate.fm//b0ca999a-6092-4832-990e-f5dde https://planetarchitecture.com.au/ #architecture #design #property #melbournerealestate #realestate #australianproperty #PAFO #melbourneproperty

02.01.2022 The draw bridge is an ingenious solution to increase road and waterway efficiency and productivity while maximising the output from infrastructure spends. It is a classic example of where technology is combined with infrastructure creating an ingenious solution for both traffic wanting to pass over the river as well as the large boats and barges that want to continue their journey on water. A win/win for both forms of transportation, improving everyone’s productivity and profitability. It’s just another example of the drivers in action.

02.01.2022 Infrastructure, standing the test of time. A bridge as useful then, as it is now. We often forget the increase in productivity infrastructure creates. These productivity gains will increase our profitability and hence manifest back into asset and land prices. Just think of the locational advantage this bridge creates for the property owners on both sides of the river.
