19.01.2022 The kindness of PNG people touches the hearts of many Australians.

18.01.2022 A warm thank you to members of Wongarbon and Dubbo CWAs and visitors from surrounding towns for hosting PAIGA last weekend! We raised over $600 for the Maternity Waiting Home project with your generous support and bilum purchases.

16.01.2022 Friends of PAIGA in Dubbo & surrounds... I'm excited to be on a road trip this weekend to talk to the local CWA groups about PNG and Women's Health... And checking out a tiny town called Wongarbon... PAIGA's gorgeous bilums will be for sale at the Wongarbon CWA Hall around lunchtime on Sat 15th June... Perhaps see you there? - Dr Bronwen Morrison (PAIGA Pres)

14.01.2022 Alphonse Waho and his community of Amuraisa preparing the ground for their new health clinic that PAIGA is supporting. Amuraisa, even more remote than Paigatasa, has a footpath but no road, so all work will be done by hand.

13.01.2022 Fantastic video from students at the Divine Word University, Madang.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, as with many other organisations Paiga will be ceasing any activities that mean bringing people together, in our case for our fundraisers and bilum markets. Stay safe all.

10.01.2022 Sincere apologies to PAIGA supporters trying to access the www.paiga.com.au website to show friends or access further info on our activities... due to an unexpected technical hiccup it is currently unavailable, but the site will be up again soon. We will post again to advise when the problem has been sorted.

07.01.2022 Coffee-drinking Supporters: Did you know that Paigatasa and surrounding Okapa communities produce coffee as their main source of income? The volcanic soil, altitude and regular rainfall of the PNG Eastern Highlands, together with rain forest providing dappled shade, combine in a perfect environment to grow delicious coffee. PAIGA has seen local growers carrying 40kg coffee bags on their backs many kilometres to the nearest road, to earn their families' annual income. "Purosa" is the Fair Trade organic Okapa single source coffee, available from several online Australian roasters including one in Marrickville, supporting our Eastern Highlands communities.

06.01.2022 PAIGA was invited to talk to the Country Women's Association Mortdale on Women's Health in the PNG Highlands, as part of their International Day. Members were enthusiastically supportive and bought $445 worth of bilums along with some individual donations. Thanks for your support, CWA Mortdale!

02.01.2022 Dear Friends of PAIGA, We’re delighted that you were able to join us last Sunday 19 May at the Fundraiser Curry Lunch in Glenning Valley, and/or have supported us with donations and bilum purchases. You will be pleased to know that we have now raised around half of what's needed to buy land for the PAIGA Maternity Waiting Home in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province, thanks to your participation and generosity. Our goal is to raise another $10,000 for the land purchase, and the...n to begin building on the land. We hope to have the first building up by early 2020. Some of you were enquiring about making a regular donation to PAIGA. You can make an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to: Account Name: People of Australasia for Innovation and Growth Abroad (PAIGA) Bank: Westpac. Branch: Newtown, NSW, Australia BSB: 032036. Account Number: 217654. Thank you for supporting PAIGA - a little goes a long way in PNG. Bronwen Morrison PAIGA Chair
