22.01.2022 5 day Art Challenge - Day 2 Wat Polanka Pagoda Siem Reap morning Watercolour sketch on Arches 300gsm rough - Rosemary Brushes (UK) black fine point marker. Urban landscapes, at the right time of day, offer up some wonderful scenes when the light is right and more. This scene a happenstance on my way to town first thing in the morning. I could easily have ridden on if I hadn’t been aware. The guy behind me on his motorbike was not happy when I pulled over to go back and take s...ome photos. 16.01.2022 Watercolour - Lake Tonle Sap near Angkor Temples Such a great subject. Watercolour Plein Air - Arches 300 medium tooth and my trusty 12 Pan Windsor & Newton travel set. October 2019 our group was painting in a small village by the lake on a warm and sunny morning, undeterred by the village kids, motorbikes dogs and village people who all came to see what was happening. 12.01.2022 Day 2 Art Challenge - Watercolour Pen and wash to practice my holiday sketching, something I haven’t done for a while. The photo on the iPad was taken recently... one morning inside Wat Polanka Pagoda in Siem Reap close to the centre of town. A very old Wat that shows a lot about the ways of the past and some gorgeous old buildings with hand painted murals. This painting is one of the gates looking down the village road into the sun. Local life goes on with little shops and street eats and more bustling about getting on with their day. Great morning, fun painting, enjoy. Today is Day 3 so I am going to paint on my iPad this afternoon round the temples I hope - stay tuned... Abstractly Glen

08.01.2022 5 day Art Challenge - Day 3 Angkor Thom near Bayon Temple, Siem Reap iPad sketch with Procreate and a Wacom stylus. Another big bike adventure late on evening with a quick run up to the temples and some shorts of my new motorbike - just for the fun of it. This happy snap peaked my interest. It was a stormy looking night with a brief moment when the sun appeared... just at the moment when I took the photo. After that it was the run home in the rain. ... Procreate is a wonderfully adaptable creative tool which I use daily for many things. Last sketching was in Bali of the rice fields near Mt Agung with my lost friend Kumiko. Rest well darling girl I miss you. First day out for the Wacom Stylus sent to me by Mr Craig (Penny) and it is living up to expectations. Thanks mate!
