05.01.2022 Oils on canvas. . Remember the teasers I posted a few days ago: scroll down below for the posts on the pomegranate and the grapes. Well, here’s the full picture. What do you think? . This is the first time I am using the oil medium. It took me so long to figure out how to use it. I am essentially a fast painter and like to work in areas. With oils, it was frustrating as I had to wait for the painting to dry in between. Also one hard lesson I have learnt is to work in layers ...to build up the story. Eventually though I was happy with the result. Hope you like it. . Traditionally, still life painting was very popular during the Renaissance period.
