18.01.2022 REMINDER. ON THIS WEEKEND!!!! PLANTS SALE THIS WEEKEND IN GOULBURN! In September we had a plant sale at our place, it went really well and was very popular so w...e are having another plant sale this weekend. Hundreds of different succulents to choose from, starting at $2.50ea for small, $3.50 for medium size plants, and $4.50 and $5.50 for larger plants. All great value, some hard to find varieties, not just all the common ones you can find in large retailers. This Saturday and Sunday 12pm - 4pm each day. Send me a PM if you want to come and have a look and I'll send you our address, easy to find, we will have our bright yellow marquee up behind our white gate. And of course, our point of difference, We sell Juncus Effusus Spiralis plants, commonly known as Corkscrew plants! More info below. Here is my favourite plant of all, known as a Corkscrew, botanical name Juncus Effusus Spiralis. An amazing plant! We sell small plants in biodegradable pots, $4.50ea or 5 for $20. See image attached. You can also see the image on what they look like when they grow...amazing! Frost hardy (once established for at least 6 weeks in their new home), although I would probably keep them under some sort of shelter for their first winter. They need a good sunny position, even a half sun half shade spot can be okay. Also okay indoors if in bright room with some sunshine. The big trick with these is to keep the soil damp. Their roots love being wet, so much so that they can even be put into a pond. I believe they originate from marshlands in Japan! We have some in ceramic pots with no drain hole so when we water them the water sits up to the top rim of the pot, we just leave it there and top it up every few days. it doesn't like it when their soil dries out, so it is a perfect plant for those who kills plants from over watering! This is our most popular plant by far, and hard to find. We have grown plenty but If interested in buying any please send me a PM to ensure we keep some for you. Our plants can be picked up this weekend in Goulburn, or we could arrange to meet and deliver for pickup in Canberra Centre next week. Send me a message to secure your corkscrews, or to ask any questions about any of our plants. THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY! See more

11.01.2022 CALL FOR MEMBERS! Convoy for Kids Goulburn is a registered charity organisation, which commenced in 1999. To provide you with some background, the principal ob...jective of the Convoy is to provide support for local children with cancer, terminal illness and permanent disabilities. This is done by providing financial assistance to the families of such children with special needs. The Goulburn Convoy for Kids is run by local volunteers, and all funds raised are distributed within our local community. The group's major source of fund raising is the annual street parade/convoy involving trucks and vehicles from the local "trucking" community. In recent years, the event has received wonderful support, with record numbers of entries, record crowds at the Carnival, and record levels of funds being raised. We would love more Goulburn locals to join C4K as members! Being a member gives you a great feeling - you know your time and efforts are going towards a great cause, It is a tremendous being involved in such a high profile charity organisation. Membership fee is only $10 annually. We meet monthly to plan and manage the charity, with much of our time dedicated to (1) coordinating requests for support from clients and (2) planning the annual convoy For Kids in Goulburn, held on the 2nd weekend of November each year. If interested please send me a PM and I will get back in touch with you about how easy it is to join us. Come on everyone, the more people involved the better the annual convoy/carnival day can be. It is very rewarding, Join us!

02.01.2022 Stuck at home? Bored? Kids need something to do to keep them occupied? How much longer can you last. Hi all. We run a very small registered craft business, based in Goulburn selling at markets and festivals on weekends. Our market stall name is DIY Crafty Kits. We sell exactly that, kits of craft items for kids and adults to make themselves. FANTASTIC IDEAS for anyone stuck at home, for adults and kids alike. Our range of kits include:... - Make your own dreamcatcher. Around 40 different kits available, good quality elements including steel rings and leather wrapping. Prices vary depending on size etc, range between $10 - $65. These come out soooo much better than many crappy quality dreamcatchers you can buy at markets, and you make it yourself! Varieties to suit both boys and girls. - Make your own suncatcher. More than 30 varieties, Easy to make so great for kids of all ages, prices range from around $10 - $25. - Make your own diamond paintings. We carry a big range . Prices can range from $10 up to $75 depending on the size of the painting. Very popular right now, the in-thing it seems. - Paint your own ceramics packs. The ceramics are all handmade by us. The kits include the ceramic piece, paints, brush on sealer and brush. All non toxic and provided in a plastic container. Note, these are ceramic, NOT plaster, so it is much stronger (like crockery). - Many other items including cross stitch kits, latch hook kits, macramé kits for planters and wall hangings, sand art and more. Suffice to say, we have heaps of different lines available! We have a website but it doesn’t show all the items we have because it needs updating (our range of products keeps growing). The site does show around 450 or so ceramic pieces we carry. www.paintyourownceramics.biz. If you might be interested in any of the above and want more information, or perhaps some images so you can see what different dreamcatchers etc look like, please email me at: [email protected]. All our products are great, and it gets kids using their hands to create items instead of always using their phones, ipads etc. When kids are on school holidays, or travelling on holidays and need activities to do, our products are perfect. We also have many adult customers. Our range of diamond paintings are particularly popular, along with our dreamcatcher, cross stitch and macramé kits. As I said we are only a very small business and the vast majority of our range are either made or put together by us so whilst it would take some time to get things ready if lots of orders were received, we do have a lot of stock on hand. Our products would be loved by much of the family. Please email me at [email protected] for any enquiries, further details or information. Cheers to all. See more
