09.01.2022 Continuing our celebration of the 2019/20 season we move onto the Sub District award winners. We exposed plenty of our young up and coming cricketers to the next level this season in sub district, they had some good wins throughout the year and at times we inconsistent but it's promising to see the development of many of the younger players and that was rewarded at times with Premier selection. There's some great talent amongst the group and the club is excited for the further improvement to come. They were well led by Brad Senior who was terrific with bat and ball and great to see Kodey Davidson's improvement. Liam Wolstenholme had a really consistent year and was rewarded with the player of the year. Congratulations to all award winners!
08.01.2022 USE OF CRICKET NETS We have received a lot of enquiries from both members of the club and the general community in relation to using the nets This morning the Premier announced that use of cricket nets are allowed as long as the following guidelines are met... - You must reside within a 5km radius of the nets - You are only allowed at the nets for a maximum of 2hrs per day Cricket Victoria have also issued some rules in relation to net use _ Only 2 of the 4 nets can be used , if they are in use please do not use the other 2 nets as that is a breach of the social distancing rules - You must sanitize balls and other equipment on a regular basis - There is to be no more than 2 people in a net at a time - And on completion of using net/s you must sanitize all your equipment plus if you have handled or touched things such as gates etc they must be sanitized as well - We also suggest that before you use the nets that gates etc be sanitized The club is pleased and happy for the nets to be used by our members and the public all we ask is you follow the above and leave the nets clean and tidy such as picking up rubbish etc before you leave We have also be advised by Victoria Police that they will be making random visits to the nets to check that all users are following the Covid 19 restrictions that are in place As you would all be aware a breach of the restrictions could result in you receiving a significant fine Committee Pakenham Cricket Club
