25.01.2022 Today the replay of our AFL OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball B Grade Premiership win is on at 1.30pm! Congratulations to Matthew Cooke & his incredible athletes! As we reflect on that sensational day in our club's history at Woori Yallock 2019 Grand Final - we had 3 Senior netty teams & on the footy oval we had our 3 footy teams - it was a proud day! ... We celebrate the pride we felt that day about being part of the Pakenham family! Today we can watch the replay of our Reserve Footy team win their premiership cup at 2.45pm and tomorrow the reply of our Seniors play their hard fought match! These are memories that stir the pride in calling Pakenham home & we celebrate the outstanding efforts & team work on & off the court of our players, coaches, sponsors, officals, committee, life members, members, families, supporters & everyone who proudly cheered our teams on!!! 17.01.2022 We are delighted to commence further 2021 AFL OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball Coaching Team announcements with our U13 Coaches: Congratulations to Carol Gregorovich (U13 Blue), Lori Walker (U13 White) & Rebecca Langford (U13’s Assistant Coach: Carol has certainly made her mark as a coach at our mighty club. Carol in 2018 with her young group of superstars won the U13 Red SEFNL Premiership. 2019 saw both her teams make finals in U15 Blue and her D Grade team... went all the way to the Grand Final. Carol’s was appointed in both 2019 & 2020 AFL Outer East Representative U13 Coach. Carol has a real passion for development of players and understands the players she coaches are in 4-5 years time our senior players. We are absolutely thrilled to have Carol coaching our U13 2021 Blue Team. Lori is passionate about Pakenham & all who call her home. Having herself played as both a junior and senior in many successful teams, she now turns her enthusiasm and knowledge of the game she loves to coaching. Lori has done a terrific job in coaching in our stadium mid-week program, and in 2019 was Karen’s assistant coach in C Grade which saw this team go all the way to the Grand Final. Lori had been selected to coach U15 Whites for 2020. What an amazing start our young players Saturday netball journey will be in having Lori as their coach. Beck has an extensive playing background, having played at VNL, Representative and State Titles Level. Beck has played A Grade for our mighty club for the past 3 years. We are absolutely thrilled to have Beck joining our coaching team and working with our young superstars on their journey. We are so very proud of the calibre of U13 2021 coaching with Carol, Lori & Beck. We are truly grateful to everyone who has contribututed or partipatpated in the weekly varied zoom sessions we have offered So grateful for the funding made... available from Netball Vic WorkSafe Victoria, Bendigo Bank & AFL OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball for the empowering SALT - Sport and Life Training sessions We are so thrilled & grateful to Netball Vic & Worksafe Vic having won a zoom session with Melbourne Vixens superstar player Caitlin Thwaites for our amazing players! We express our heartfelt thanks to our Club Chaplain, David Sollberger who has done an outstanding job in assisting us staying connected with our players during these challenging times! U13 at 4pm U15 at 5pm U17 at 6pm Seniors at 7pm As it is going to be warm please make sure you drink plenty of water all day to stay hydrated before your training & bring a full drink bottle with you too. In preparation for our 2021 AFL OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball season, following our announcement a few weeks ago, today, we are delighted to confirm Karen Meredith & Matthew Cooke's coaching roles. We are extremely privileged at Pakenham to have two highly experienced coaches, with their extensive Victorian Netball League (VNL) coaching backgrounds together with coaching for Netball Victoria in their Talent Academies our player’s are ce...rtainly in great hands! Karen will continue as Head Coach and will oversee our entire netball program. Karen brings a wealth of netball knowledge, is a great technician of the game. Her commitment, dedication and enthusiasm of wanting to help every single player be their best is undeniable. Matt has firmly made his mark at Pakenham especially with our B Grade 2019 Premiership! Matt’s passion for his netball & coaching together with his contagious positive enthusiasm is outstanding. 2021 Karen and Matt will jointly co-coach our A & B Grade teams! This is an amazing opportunity for our athletes to have two highly experienced quality coaches assisting them to play their best! Karen & Matt recognize how important the junior pathway into seniors is together with the development of player skill sets and we are thrilled to announce that Matt will coach our U17 Blue with Karen taking our U15 Blue. 01.01.2022 We are absolutely delighted to announce our U15 AFL OUTER EAST 'Community Bank' Football & Netball for 2021: Congratulations U15 Blue Karen Meredith Karen is our Head Coach, Co Coach of A & B Grade together with this team. Karen recognises the importance of the development of our juniors as our future seniors and is looking forward to coaching this team again in 2021.... Assistant Coach David Sollberger David having an elite playing background at national level is looking forward to working with Karen as her Assistant Coach on game days. David will also be coaching his own Senior team in 2021. Apprentice Coach Katie Jones Katie is super excited to be given the opportunity to work with Karen especially for Thursday night trainings. Katie has been with the club since she commenced playing in U13s and has enjoyed her experience in coaching in the club’s stadium mid-week program and looks forward to expanding her coaching knowledge and experience under the watchful eye of Karen. U15 White Emma Jones Emma started her playing pathway with the club as an 11 year old in U13s and has played A Grade since 2017. Emma has won the League’s Best & Fairest in both U15 Red and U17 Red together with being selected for Netball Victoria Central East Zone Talent Academy. Emma has played at VNL level for 4 years. Emma truly understands the importance of skill development while having fun and enjoying the game you love. Em is so thrilled to be given the opportunity to coach again for the club, having previously coached in 2017 & 2018. 01.01.2022 It is with great excitement we announce that our own Marg Jones has been nominated for Netball Victoria Volunteer of the Year Award! In learning of this nomination, Marg was completely overwhelmed by the honour of the nomination but quickly reminded us this is for the team, the absolute amazing individuals who come together united to call our mighty club their netty home and family. Marg expressed her sincerest thanks to the person or group that nominated her and repeated ag...ain this is for everyone that calls Paky home! The winners will be announced on the 4th December. The nomination is a great recognition of the outstanding volunteers we have who work tirelessly and unselfishly for every single wonderful member of our club, especially this year with the challenges we have all faced together with COVID-19.
