25.01.2022 Earlier in March this year we reported on George Miller hitting early pre-production for a possible Furiosa prequel after his hit 2015 film MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and was seriously considering Anya Taylor-Joy as the potential lead. Palace Cinemas is thrilled to announce that we’ll be opening Melbourne’s newest cinema Pentridge Cinema just in time for Christmas, encouraging Melburnians to enjoy a pastime that has eluded us for most of 2020. The 15-screen cinema complex will be located within the Pentridge development in Coburg, a site that comprises 6.7 hectares of entertainment, dining, public spaces and specialty stores. 04.01.2022 The Cannes Film Festival was unfortunately cancelled this year due to Coronavirus, but organizers still plan to host a three-day event for the illustrious Festival’s 2020 edition. The Palais des Festival will host a ‘Special Cannes’ event, which will run from October 27 29 and will feature four films from this year’s Official Selection, as well as in-competition short films and the Cinéfondation’s school films with the event open to the public.
