23.01.2022 Self-care and self-maintenance. I had a great conversation recently with some incredibly inspiring woman on how vastly different self-maintenance and self-care, and how we tend to confuse the two and then wonder why we are exhausted. They are different and just as important and we need to remember this, work out what it is to us and not feel guilty about it either! It is so important remember to fill your own cup in the way that works for you! www.paliantdesign.com

21.01.2022 Sometimes DIY logo's don't portray your business in the right light. We updated Pete's logo and collateral so that it communicated the right message to his clients more clearly. www.paliantdesign.com
20.01.2022 The value of having a graphic designer in your back pocket shouldn't be overlooked! Invaluable one would say If cutting through the noise and positioning your brand is important to you, so too should good design. What you are trying to achieve? ... A graphic designer is part of your support team to achieve the ideal outcome with effective, functional and impactful design. Take a look around and observe what works and doesn't and what the cost truly is. We ADD value! In the creative industry, like any, you get what you pay for. www.paliantdesign.com See more

19.01.2022 Lets start with a virtual question, how many of you have had to sit through a monotonous, non exciting powerpoint presentation, filled with black headlines and graphs and no real thought has been spared for creativity or captivating the audience? We feel there may be a few of you, us included! We understand that sometimes time isnt on your side, and that presentation your boss asked you to create needs to be ready for the meeting in two days. Eeek! Cue mini panic attack. Wh...ilst powerpoint presentations might not be something you want to break the bank over, isnt the whole point of a presentation to impress your audience, or inform them of something worth remembering? At Paliant Design, we work with you to produce an on brand, captivating presentation with structure and hierarchy to highlight your key points and communicate your messaging clearly. This can be for a once off presentation that you need, or we are also able to work with you to produce a Powerpoint template that you can use yourself to fill in as needed when these events pop up. www.paliantdesign.com

18.01.2022 Hi, I'm Chloe As someone who could talk under water with a mouthful of marbles, I find it quite daunting talking about myself. Although I will try anything once, so here we go! I am lucky enough to have always lived within walking distance of a beach. Seeing as I love summer, this has worked out very well for me! My Miniature Labradoodle Bailey and I love going for long beach walks. ... I have always been a very creative person. As a child I was always drawing, painting, building, or photographing something. When I was introduced to graphic design, my inner perfectionist and neat-freak felt completely recognised. I believe that effective visual communication is everything. Whether it be the polished and powerful branding of a global company, or the easily overlooked signage on the side of a post box - it all has a purpose. Some people love to spend their money on clothes, jewellery, or shoes - I love to waste my money on food! If I could eat all of my meals at a new restaurant every day I would. When Im not out enjoying a meal (which is very rare), I also love going for long drives or walks, watching movies, and listening to podcast. www.paliantdesign.com See more
18.01.2022 I live in the beautiful Adelaide Hills with my husband Tim, and considering I am someone that suffers with terrible circulation it seems like a good joke that I live in the coldest part of Adelaide! That said, I love a good joke. Whats life without humour! Jokes aside though, I take my work very seriously, and am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to accuracy and getting things done right, the first time without taking a lifetime to get there! I love seeing clients rea...ctions to design solutions they had not thought of and seeing the finished products out there in the world. In my spare time youll generally find me outdoors, hiking, biking and most commonly something to do with water like paddleboarding, waterskiing, kayaking. Oh and also looking after all my indoor plants that my husband lovesLOL. If you were a fly on the wall at the Paliant Studio, youd have the privilege of hearing our radio solos in between the daily work hustle of getting it done! www.paliantdesign.com
18.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all! I remember my Dad said to me "Alice, I don't think you have reached all that you are, there is so much more potential in you...'' at the time, to be honest, I took it a different way, I thought I was already pushing myself to the limit and I didn't take it for what it was... isn't timing everything... but you know what, this past year or two more so, I have really begun to understand what he meant. So this one is for you Dad even more so today. Tha...nk you for seeing me. Love you A Father's words stick with you forever. www.paliantdesign.com See more

17.01.2022 When life hands you lemons, we know sometimes its hard to go with the flow and make that lemonade! Understanding the power of positive thinking and how it can benefit your life in multiple facets can really help you get through lifes tough situations. Of course it isnt about ignoring challenges or hurdles, but with a positive mindset, you immediately equip yourself with a strong position to move forward in a more constructive way. Theres the quote You can if you think ...you can, and it couldnt be more true. There is a tonne of research available that details the effect both negative and positive thoughts have on the brain, if it interests you, look into it in depth but for now we wanted to communicate that the power of positive thinking extends to aiding good health, building your skills and boosting your productivity in work. www.paliantdesign.com See more

10.01.2022 Notice all the extra noise going on in your social feeds and the media? While everyone is happy to tell you what you should be doing, maybe instead we should ground ourselves and go back to our why? The million dollar question! Take a moment to pause and embrace the calm. ... Bounce ideas off of the people closest to you and those you trust will give you honest feedback and suggestions. 04.01.2022 I love design and all the creative challenges it provides and have been honing my skills for over 20 years. I founded Paliant Design, a graphic design studio based in Adelaide over 12 years ago and havent looked back. Through this I have been fortunate to develop some incredible long-term relationships with my clients, ultimately becoming an extension of their team. I am passionate about why and how brands work and believe the importance of branding is undervalued in t...odays business world. We are surrounded by everything design and inspiration is everywhere. My husband Anthony is in the RAAF and I am mother to 3 incredible children, Jade, Harley and Amity. So busy is an understatement and organisation is my super power! Do I get things done, absolutely! As they say, need something done, ask a busy mum! In my free time. hahaha or should I say I make time for my other passions outside of work. I love being active, walking, riding, hiking and giving everything a go, you never know what you may gain. I LOVE hot yoga and have been practicing for over 13 years. Yoga plays a very important role in my life and I was blessed with the opportunity to become a certified Yoga Teacher last year and what a ride it has been. I encourage everyone to give yoga a go! Addicted is such a strong word but yeah probably, in the best possible way! I am a true believer in following your passions and surrounding yourself with positive energy. I love to laugh, it is so good for the soul and spend my time with people that make me smile. I am grateful for all that I have and look forward to seeing where this ride of life takes me. www.paliantdesign.com See more
