In this short video he talks about the life changing experience he underwent at Palladium Private that helped him get to the core of the beliefs behind his self-destructive feelings and behaviou...rs. He describes how Palladium Private's exceptional staff and holistic, science-based approach was the key to changing from a "glass half empty, worst case scenario" person into one who now takes on everything in his new life as an opportunity.

25.01.2022 A wonderful 5-star review from a very recent guest with a fantastic success story

24.01.2022 WHAT IS AN ALCOHOLIC? https://zcu.io/ai3l Not surprisingly, this is one of the most popular Google searches in this topic area. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, an "alcoholic" is a person suffering from alcoholism, so surely there are also tobaccoholics, heroinolics and sexaholics correct? Incorrect. Also largely incorrect is the common misconception that an alcoholic is incoherent, dirty and drinking from a brown paper bag under a bridge. Would it also surprise you to know that most alcoholics are highly functional, highly educated, ambitious over-achievers who are well groomed and extremely articulate? If all this is true, how does one become an alcoholic? Exactly what is an alcoholic? And how does one recover from alcohol addiction? READ FULL ARTICLE: https://zcu.io/ai3l

21.01.2022 WHAT CAUSES ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL? https://zcu.io/zgCn Once alcohol consumption has become intrinsically linked with our social interactions, emotional responses and coping mechanisms, it is incredibly easy for alcohol use to develop into misuse, then dependency and addiction. Alcohol is a highly addictive, totally legal drug. Going from socially acceptable drinking to having a drinking problem is far easier than you may think. Alcohol is designed and marketed to be effectiv...e at what it does....initially. But once the negative effects begin to be experienced, often the addiction is well established and very difficult to turn around. Exactly why is it so hard to stop drinking when we have the best intentions and motivations to do so? This informative and relatable article explains the subconscious factors at play, and how reprogramming can take place to get back in control. READ FULL ARTICLE: https://zcu.io/zgCn See more

21.01.2022 DO I HAVE A DRINKING PROBLEM? WHAT ARE THE SIGNS? https://bit.ly/2SbjvYn This is a confronting question many of us ask when we sense a shift away from whats considered normal, socially acceptable drinking and into the murky world of hidden drinking, using alcohol to cope with increasing life pressures. In todays society, its surprisingly easy to hide an alcohol addiction. Mummy memes and beer fuelled barbecues are embraced as part of our culture and alcohol consumption i...s promoted as fun, necessary and even expected in certain workplaces. Oftentimes, its not until an injury, illness or unexpected life event like COVID-19 interrupts our daily routine that we are forced to look at our relationship with alcohol and evaluate whether its healthy or on a downward slippery slope. WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF AN ALCOHOL ADDICTION? There are some distinctive signs to look out for, ranging from the mental to physical and social signs: Sign 1: You dont want to cut back on drinking Sign 2: You drink first thing in the morning, or drink to get over a hangover Sign 3: The drinking has interfered at work or school Sign 4: You hide your drinking habits or feel ashamed of the quantity and/or frequency Click to read this article in full https://bit.ly/2SbjvYn

21.01.2022 Whether the sky is blue or gray, whether our heart is light or heavy - each new day is a page in the book of our lives and we are the author with a pen ready to write. Though many things may feel out of our control, we are alive, we are present and we can choose how to face the obstacles, joys and uncertainties that come our way each day.

20.01.2022 Big or small, we are all missing regular comforts, special people and moments as we get used to the COVID-19 lockdown. The answer to the question below will give us exciting moments of brightness to look forward to when we emerge into the new post-Corona world

20.01.2022 Tuning into any news report at the moment can easily fill us with fear and trepidation. The unknown can be frightening. Without tools in our toolbox such as mindfulness, meditation and interpersonal connection, it can be easy to slide into a place of overwhelm, even catastrophising about our fears and future. This quote is a kind reminder to step back, observe our thoughts as they race by and apply a simple filter - Do I have control over what I am stressing about? If the answer is yes, take the action needed to reduce or remove the stress to the best of your ability. If the answer is no, accept the reality that it is out of your control and feel a sense of peace settle in its place.

19.01.2022 The way we talk to ourselves - self talk - can be incredibly damaging if left unchecked. Most often the mind runs wild on autopilot and can be our own worst enemy. Practice "tuning in" to the conversation in your head, as if you were a kind friend listening in. Would you be shocked at the way you were being spoken to? Would you speak this way to your best friend or loved one? The key to self-love begins with the practice of tuning in to your internal dialogue and becoming your own best friend

Emerging from the expectations of others and allowing our unique light to shine is a joy for others to behold Thank you to Katie Tassone from Zenko Yoga for this golden reminder

17.01.2022 Nothing beats an authentic, delicious Pad Thai! This recipe is just that - but with healthy zucchini noodles instead of pasta for a gluten free, lighter touch. You might need to scour the International section at the supermarket for some of the specific ingredients, but it will be well worth it for the flavour hit. Enjoy! https://zcu.io/qKhK

17.01.2022 Have you heard of the Lokai Bracelet that emerged in 2014? Steve Izen, CEO and founder of Live Lokai describes what inspired him to create the bracelet and share it with the world: "This idea for Lokai came to me when my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. His diagnosis made me think about the highs & lows that everyone experiences. I wanted to make a product for myself and others as a reminder to stay humble through the highs and hopeful through the lows." Find out more at: www.lokai.com

17.01.2022 What is the greatest cause of suffering in your life? Is it anxiety? Perhaps it's addiction? It may be a lack of peace or purpose. Whatever it is, imagine if it was no longer in your life and causing you shame or pain. We all contribute to our suffering in ways such as self-sabotage, misguided focus or believing we aren't strong enough to tackle it as we are. Might there be habits or behaviours (foods) that are feeding your pain or suffering? Could you focus on eliminating one of these "foods" at a time from your daily "diet" and proactively begin to stop feeding your own pain or suffering?

15.01.2022 Just as a child subconsciously takes in its surroundings and develops unconscious patterns that carry through to adult life, we pick up the habits, thought patterns and attitudes of those we spend a lot of time with. Take a look around your life at the friends, colleagues and family members you spend the most time with - are they uplifting and encouraging you, or would they prefer you stay at their level to make them more comfortable in their own negative patterns and habits? Ultimately, you are responsible for your own self and if that means distancing yourself from those who aren't on board with the changes you want to make in your life - you owe it to yourself to give yourself the best chance of living your best life!

13.01.2022 Making a conscious effort to feel and express gratitude has been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety and depression. As well as appreciating little moments when they occur during our day, perhaps you could take just a few minutes each day to begin a gratitude practice? As you brush your teeth in the morning, or of an evening? Or when you lay your head on the pillow at the end of the day? READ FULL ARTICLE: https://zcu.io/FzKS.
