23.01.2022 Study Gold Coast is currently holding a Virtual Careers Festival where you can engage with Gold Coast educators, gain advice from qualified professionals, discover insights from inspiring presentations and obtain up to date advice through online live chat. The Virtual Careers Festival went live on 1 May 2020 and since then there have been over 750 registrations from schools all over Queensland. Three of our local Schools, Elanora State High, Palm Beach Currumbin Stage High and St Andrews Lutheran College have recorded a total of 36 registrations. 16.01.2022 Reopening of City Assets this Saturday 16 May 2020 PARKING METERS WILL BE SWITCHED ON AND NORMAL ENFORCEMENT WILL OCCUR FROM SATURDAY 16 MAY 2020! Mayor Tom Tate has announced that several City Assets will reopen this Saturday, 16 May 2020, in line with the easing of Queensland Government restrictions.... The following will reopen or are resuming: Parking meters will be switched on and normal enforcement will occur Playgrounds, gym equipment and barbecues Sports fields for groups of 10 or less Park bookings (for up to 10 people) Free tree scheme Tourist parks for essential travellers Community Centres for essential services Broadwater Parklands will be open except for the bouncy pillow Work is still to be done to ensure a staged opening of Aquatic Centres, Libraries and Indoor Sports Centres can occur. 01.01.2022 Free Community Activity for People with a Disability #CrDaphMcDonald The Multicultural Families Organisation is running a new FREE program throughout the Gold C...oast for people with a disability. To be eligible for this program the participant only needs to show proof from their Doctor that they have a disability. Participants do not have to have a NDIS plan to attend. The program will be running until 2022 out of 5 locations across the Gold Coast. Monday Coomera Tuesday Nerang Wednesday Southport Thursday Elanora Friday Burleigh Waters The program will be small classes of maximum 10-12 people and will run for 1.5 hours. Activities will include Fitness, Dance and Arts and Crafts for this year.
