This is predominantly to do with our COVID safe plan, social distancing, traffic matters and future markets. The Coronavirus has meant that this is all new territory for everyone and rest assured we are doing our best to make things safe for all.

We have been working long and hard this week with Council to develop our COVID Safe Event Plan and are focussed on delivering just that - we ask for the co-operation of all stallholders and market goers: . observe 1.5m social distancing, . avoid unsafe queueing, ... . sanitise you hands, . keep to the left, . be respectful of others personal space, . follow directions . download the Covid Safe app - boring stuff maybe, but we dont want a Melbourne repeat here in Cairns. To all those traders who are disappointed at missing out on a site at the August market, we are sorry but our market has been limited under COVID to less sites than normal - those quickest to book were fortunate. 08.01.2022 The drum is that we will have both Police and Queesnland Health observing us this weekend - there may or may not be anything formal, but we will all be observed - we need your support - we have all our processes and resources in place but... . we need all Stallholders to have the same - make sure you have done the COVID Checklist and have a signed copy on site - make sure your WHS stuff is done - get your contact tracing records sorted - be mindful of queueing solutions - thi...s is our time to show we are serious. . we also need our marketgoers to respect the 1.5m rule, to avoid unwarranted queueing, to follow directions from Rotarians - dont be a Karen, and dont be an irresponsible - be thoughtful and considerate to your fellow man, woman and child - its the only thing left to do We can still have a great time - there will be food, there will be stalls, there will be buskers - itll be a fantastic market - lets just all do the right thing.
