18.01.2022 This week we have celebrated National Reconciliation Week which is held annually from May 27th - June 3rd. Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians and at the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This years theme In This Together reflects everyone has a role to play in reconciliation and building relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander... peoples, histories and culture. This year was also the 20th anniversary of the reconciliation walks of 2000 so our celebration was a walk around the Gunn Lakes. As part of this we were very lucky to do a screen printing activity which was run by Larrakia Nation - Palmerston Culture & Family Centre. We wore our handmade screen printed shirts at our walk with pride.
