25.01.2022 Palmerston College families, please see post from NT Health following the announcement of South Australia as a hotspot yesterday morning. The advice from NT Health issued yesterday affects all students and staff currently in South Australia and those planning to travel there. If you have or your child has travelled to South Australia in the last 14 days this advice needs to be followed. Please note no further action needs to be taken by schools at this stage. If further action does need to be taken, this will be communicated by the Northern Territory Chief Health Officer. This is a timely reminder to ensure that we continue to be vigilant in practising good health and hygiene processes.

Year 9 Sports Excellence Class will begin their weekly excursions to the Indoor Beach Volleyball Courts next week. Student...s are already showing amazing talent and dedication based on the sessions they have completed at school. Year 11’s have been completing fitness testing, and will start to develop their own personalised fitness program which they will complete at the YMCA gym in the coming weeks. A few other bush treats were found along the way including some Kakadu plums and a few fresh water mussels. ... Although the weather is heating up, it was a great opportunity for students to get outdoors and experience the incredible produce the territory has to offer and bring a hands on experience to their learning. 18.01.2022 A reminder that No Red Week runs until Thursday 25 February. Most of our students do a wonderful job of being at school every day every lesson focussing on learning and achieving their best. No Red week is an opportunity to acknowledge this great effort and encourage all students to increase their attendance. Regular Attendance is so important for students to stay engaged with their learning, missing 1 day a week equates to missing about a year of schooling over their secondary years of schooling. Students with no red in their attendance in Compass for each day of the week will go into the draw to win a prize, with a prize being given away for each year cohort of students. We will choose one day randomly to draw for the winning student.
