20.01.2022 How do you stop your kids from being addicted to technology? Dr Arne shares here about a few great pieces of advice that you can implement from an early age bu...t we really loved the encouragement to develop a strong personal identity and to ensure that they have other things going on in their lives. This helps to ensure that technology is only a part of our children's lives and as Dr Arne puts it - "not the drug that they escape into". 16.01.2022 Earlier this week, reports started circulating about a disturbing video on TikTok. A man in the US live-streamed his own suicide on Facebook and the video was then shared to TikTok. It was removed, but it had already been copied, edited into other videos and re-posted thousands of times (on Instagram and Twitter as well). Many kids have now seen the suicide video, through no fault of their own. And if they haven't seen it, they have definitely heard about it in the schoolyard..., online, via the radio or the TV news. With this in mind, if you haven't yet broached the somewhat tricky topic of suicide with your child, now might be a good time to think about starting the conversation. The last thing we want is for our children to be misinformed or 'playground educated' about this important topic. For a limited time to help support parents and schools, ParentTV is offering our 'How To Talk To Kids About Suicide' course for FREE. https://parenttv.com//c/how-to-talk-to-kids-about-suicide/

12.01.2022 A little something to celebrate our wonderful parents and students for getting through our first week of learning online. We are so thankful for our resilient families embracing home learning and having such a positive 'can do' attitude! Hopefully this video we prepared last term will make you and your children smile and relieve some stress. Shake it off and have a laugh on us! A big thankyou to Emily Kohler (past PSS student) for her time editing and putting this together! Another huge thankyou to our amazingly talented music teacher Mrs Sally Kohler for her organisation, encouragment and videoing of this.
