22.01.2022 Finally made a date with the knee surgeon and will get my knee replacement on Friday so the Inn will be closed. Depending on when I escape the hospital the Inn may be closed on Monday as well. But don’t worry the Inn will still be open on Saturday and Sunday thanks to a couple of friends who have stepped in. Jennie

15.01.2022 Apologies to those who made the trip to Paluma and needed a cup of coffee and something to eat. We were open this morning but illness made it necessary for us to close. Most likely we will be closed tomorrow as a trip to the doctor is on the cards. Again our sincerest apologies. Jennie

15.01.2022 Back home now with my knee the size of a football. The Inn will be closed on Friday as I am still not able to work and also because we will be attending a funeral in Ingham. Saturday and Sunday trade will be as usual with friends helping out. Monday will be closed as I have an appointment with the knee surgeon. Sorry if this inconveniences anyone but we are trying to keep things going while I recuperate. Jennie

14.01.2022 As directed by the government we cannot open the restaurant for in house dining. We will however be adjusting our menu for takeaway food if anyone is visiting Paluma. Of course the conditions apply as per previous email. Unfortunately eating on the patio is also not permitted. We will see if this is viable and whether or not we close during this pandemic. Saturday and Sunday opening days. Jennie

14.01.2022 Vale Roy Mackay It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we post the news that one of Paluma’s most beloved and admired residents, Roy Mackay has passed away. Roy passed peacefully at 9.15 PM on Tuesday 12 February at the Regis Aged Care facility in the company of his long-time companion Colwyn Campbell and his dear friend Beth Snewin. Roy was 90 years of age. Our sincere condolences to Roy’s family and to Colwyn at this sad time.... Nothing Gold Can Stay By Robert Frost Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Thank you Michele for your kind words about our and Paluma's dearest friend.
