25.01.2022 Just wanted to say a separate post to my previous post how fabulous it was to have Carla at the massage tent yesterday - We planned to be there from 12-2 because I had another thing to go to in the afternoon but when there was such a line up of supporters I stayed an extra hour but Carla stayed on her own to the end- amazing woman Carla - Thank you so much -

18.01.2022 Lymphoedema Management Lymphoedema is the excessive build up of high protein fluid in the tissues. Prevention and good management is better than cure. Lymphoedema is the excessive build up of high protein fluid in the tissues. Lymphoedema can occur without warning (primary lymphoedema) or after cancer treatment or trauma (secondary lymphoedema) to the lymphatic system of the body.... Lymphoedema Management incorporates manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), decongestive exercises, skin care, compression bandaging or garments, support and education about lymphoedema. Some of the early signs of Lymphoedema are heaviness in the limb, tightness and discomfort or clothing a bit tight. Prevention and early detection can slow the conditions progess so be aware of some of the triggers of lymphoedema - they are excessive heat or cold, skin bites or scratches, long haul air travel or lack of activity. Be prepared and stay alert to any changes in your limbs. Lymphatic drainage is a great prevention strategy. When having lymphatic drainage ensure your therapist has specialised training, accredited by the Australian Lymphology Association - that means you can be reassured that the treatment you receive is comprehensive and appropriate to the condition you are experiencing.

14.01.2022 Well I've been a bit quiet on FB recently because I've been spending time setting up my new rooms in Launceston. Will still be in George Town Mon Tues Wed so Thursdays will be Launie day. I'll be mainly focusing mainly on oncology and lymphoedema in Launie but not exclusively so if it suits you to see me in Launie please feel free to ask for a booking there. 06.01.2022 Well this is a sad day for me as I pack up shop at GeorgeTown. I'm going to focus on my work in Launceston in Oncology Massage and Lymphoedema but would love to see you at 195 Invermay Rd anytime you need some remedial work. This has happened kind of suddenly as someone is moving into my shop next week. I'll miss you all and have had so much fun and will always remember your love, support and encouragement over the 8 years I've been in GT. 06.01.2022 HI again everyone My bike will be back in front of the shop from Monday = Anyone interested in riding their bike for a bit before work on Tues - 7.30am start 1/2 -1 hr. Jacqui and I went out today and its a must do on a regular basis - "No Lycra please!!" is the motto so just a reliable bike and helmet with the obligatory water bottle to go. CU Tues out front of my shop @ 7.30 am
