22.01.2022 Congratulations to Monica McInerney on The Godmothers, a beautiful story about family and coming to terms with the past. This was my first MM read but it will definitely not be the last. Looking forward to the other 12! I had the honour of chatting to Monica last week for the Writes4Women podcast and to help celebrate the release of The Godmothers we have released the episode today. Monica was so generous with her time and wisdom. There’s so much gold in the chat for both re...aders and writers. To listen go to Writes4Women.com and find the episode under podcasts. Or listen wherever you get your pods. There’s also a copy of The Godmothers up for grabs. All details on the episode page on the website. Highly recommend both the book and the episode. One of my favourite chats so far!

18.01.2022 Gotta love the mail when you get goodies like this! The only dilemma is which one first? What are you reading right now? Would love to see some pics in the comments.
14.01.2022 Watch me try to unwrap a parcel one handed while videoing! But more importantly, check out this gorgeous book package from Rae Cairns - Author including crime scene photos and a hot off the press copy of her debut thriller The Good Mother.
11.01.2022 Loved this chat with Sandie Docker, Writer yesterday for her weekly Friday Book Bites session. If you haven’t tuned in yet, it’s a great way to spend your Friday lunch hour, listening in to a couple of authors discuss a whole range of writing issues. And you can ask questions too! Sandie and I chatted about the value of writing groups and the dreaded imposter syndrome we all feel from time to time.... You can click on the link to hear our chat and Sandie has a copy of Cross My Heart to give away to anyone who leaves a comment in her post. Thanks to all who joined the chat live. Hope you enjoy it if you’re watching the replay.

05.01.2022 Vale Helen Reddy. What an iconic song she brought us all with ‘I Am Woman’. And I was pretty partial to ‘Delta Dawn’ too. https://youtu.be/ojtCzCyJakE
05.01.2022 What I've been working on plus reading recommendations including books by Pamela Hart, Fiona McIntosh, Trent Dalton and Rae Cairns.
04.01.2022 Happy publication day to friend and fellow author Pamela Hart. Pamela’s new book The Charleston Scandal is a must for lovers of The Crown. Set in London in 1923 it centres on young Australian actress Kit, trying to make a name for herself in the West End, which she does - but not the way she planned! Caught between her old life with her privileged family and her new independent career, Kit struggles to discover where she truly belongs. The story delves into the lives of women... at the time, high society, fashion, family and romance. And the support cast includes Adele and Fred Astaire, the Prince if Wales and Tallulah Bankhead. I chatted to Pamela about the writing of The Charleston Scandal on the Writes4Women podcast -a fabulous chat with so many insights into her writing. You can find the chat at https://www.writes4women.com//pamela-hart-the-charleston-s And grab the book at you favourite book store.
03.01.2022 A postcard start to the week. Definitely a day for the outdoor desk. Today I’m writing a new blurb followed by a writing sprint with my buddies from The Inkwell. Might squeeze in a ride since it’s such a glorious day. What’s on your agenda?
03.01.2022 It's birthday time for Cross My Heart! So hard to believe that my fifth book baby came out on September 26 last year. Thanks so much to everyone who has bought or borrowed a copy in either print or ebook and to those who have taken the time to review it. I really appreciate your support. To celebrate I'm giving away 3 print copies (open to Australian residents only).... To be in the running all you have to do is Like or Share this post and let me know by typing your name in the comments. The winners will be chosen at random and announced on Sunday night (Sept 27) at 6pm. If you already have a copy you could win one for a friend or relative so be in it to win it. Happy birthday Cross My Heart!
01.01.2022 What - or who - are you swooning over right now? Having just finished revising All We Dream, I’m swooning over Vincent Kennedy, horse trainer and all round great guy. I originally wrote this story 8 years ago and it was published as Essie’s Way. After a scrupulous revision and the addition of a few new scenes it’s almost ready to hit the shelves once more, with a new title and gorgeous new cover.... And I’d forgotten what a catch Vincent is! A bit of a loner but ruggedly handsome and with the kindest heart. Anyone who can swim through the ocean on a horse and look fab at the end is swoon worthy as far as I’m concerned. This is what I imagine he looks like, with wilder hair. And pic two is a passage from the book when Miranda first sees him on the beach What do you think? Worth swooning over? If you’re on Instagram you can find out what, or who, is making my fellow Inkwell members swoon at: @penelopejanuwriter @raecairnswrites @angellawhitton @greenterrianne @joanna_nell_writer @lauraboon66 @michelle_barra_ And follow out the #theinkwellnovemberchallenge hashtag for posts from a whole bunch of participating writer.
01.01.2022 A beautiful book trailer for Transit of Angels, a novel by Desney King, Author.
