19.01.2022 I’m having a break from my MS while my beta readers get their heads around it. So I figured, what better time to start plotting and planning book 2. Oh, and playing around with the camera on my new phone. I rather like this effect
12.01.2022 Starting to plan my next book in an effort to distract myself from thinking about my Beta readers wading through my current MS
12.01.2022 A different type of writing this morning- giving time to my journal which I’ve sadly neglected lately. I’m deep in the throes of a rewrite after my beta readers got to work on my ms and this past week has been concentration all the way. I need to give myself a break over the weekend, allow a bit of downtime. Any suggestions to keep me away from the laptop?
11.01.2022 Getting into Book #2 slowly - a little bit of planning, a little bit of writing and repeat (and still a little bit of playing with the new phone camera - that’s the procrastination bit )
05.01.2022 I set myself a challenge at the beginning of 2020 - to read 52 books in 52 weeks, and I succeeded I managed to get through 53 and am half way through another. It’s rather an eclectic mix but, not surprisingly, you may notice a bias towards crime I was going to post my top 5 today but I’m afraid it’s proving difficult to choose so you’ll have to wait till tomorrow
03.01.2022 So, do do you know how hard it was to choose my top 5 reads for 2020? I don’t finish a book if I’m not enjoying it, so basically, I enjoyed all 53 of the books I read. Hence the dilemma. Anyway, I narrowed it down to 5 favourites plus 4 honourable mentions ... The top 5 (in no particular order) are: The Chain by Adrian McKinty Travels With Epicurus by Daniel Klein The Autumn of the Ace by Louis de Bernieres The Good Turn by Dervla McTiernan The Other Passenger by Louise Candlish And the Honourable Mentions (again in no particular order): The Paris Secret by Natasha Lester The Silent Wife by Karin Slaughter The House of Correction by Nicci French AND Anything by Peter James (I think I read 3 of his in 2020 and love them all)
