21.01.2022 You may see most clinics using advanced technology and some still choosing to use traditional rollers. Technology has allowed the world of Micro-needling to offer much more advanced and effective methods of Micro-needling via the use of medical pen devices such as the MDerma by Dermapen device used @pamper.au Both methods are forms of micro-needling used to stimulate the production of collagen. So what makes these two methods different?... Precision Skin Needling Pens can treat hard to reach areas such as around the eyes, nose, lips and more difficult areas that manual rollers cant. Less Damage The needles in Skin Needling Pens penetrate the skin vertically. Micro-needling rollers penetrate the skin at an angle causing more chances of skin tears which can result in more down time and more side effects from the treatment. Custom Treatments Needle depth is extremely important when treating specific skin concerns, skin types and delicate areas of the face like the eyes and lips. Skin Needling Pen devices allow customisation of needle depth to suit skin types, concerns and cater for different areas of the face. Micro-needling Rollers can only reach a certain singular depth over the entire face. Fast & Minimal Pain The motorised system in Skin Needling Pens are more precise and accurate in depth and penetration of the skin. Pens come with adjustable speeds and can penetrate the skin up to 100 times per second! Rollers are used manually, speed is dependent on the handler and technique used.
