Thanks for a wonderful day Madonna, James, Nick and Seraiya.

13.01.2022 FINN'S REFLECTION ON HIS TIME IN CUB SCOUTS "Cub Scouts: What does it mean to me: Finn I’ve had hobbies before. I’ve played soccer, AFL, been to gymnastics and done swimming. In 2018, I joined scouts. I had the shirt, but no badges. I didn’t know what to expect. Because it was Sea Scouts, I knew there would be water activities. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. My first badge was the Waterwise badge at Eprapah. I’ve moved on from there to get many badges. ... I liked learning about the refugees coming to Australia when I got my messenger of peace badge. I liked learning some morse code for my level two communications badge. I remember the morse code for SOS is --- . What I liked the best was the swimming to get the fishing badge. I’m proud of my Boomerang badges. My other hobbies were all about fitness. Scouts made my mind grow. I’ve been on lots of hikes with scouts and with my family. One of my favourite places to go hiking is White Rock. I lead my Grey Wolf Hike at White Rock so everyone else could see it too. Some activities are at the den. I liked science night. I really liked the night we dismantled appliances. We destroyed a laptop. It was wild. I had fun on car wash night when we all got soaked. I lost the challenge of building something tall out of marshmallows and spaghetti. We made chariots. I fell out of my chariot and was hit by two other chariots. That wasn’t my best night. I liked going rollerblading this year. I’d like to go again. We went to Death Row Unchained Animal Sanctuary and Lone Pine Sanctuary. That was great to learn about the animals. Abseiling was not too scary for me. I could do it. I couldn’t have done the activities without the help of the leaders. They gave us their time and used their great ideas. They were kind. I want to thank the parent helpers for their help with the events. It was fun getting to know the other cubs. Together we are a pack. As the Jungle Book says, ‘The strength of the Pack is the Wolf and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack. I know I’m part of the pack. This means I have to do my best for the pack. We all have to help. I have been on five camps. I like them all. Each camp was better than the one before. The last one was to Baden Powell camp ground. Scouting exceeded my expectations. It kept me busy when I would have had nothing to do. My parents work on weekends and on weekdays. Scouting gave me something to do and people to talk to. So, in conclusion, it made my world bigger." 13.01.2022 Cubs did a 'Lion Hunt' in the city on Sunday and visited the ANZAC Square Memorial Museum. They learnt about Australians' service during WW1 and WW2. And, bonus, they got a look at the LEGO model of the Town Hall.

11.01.2022 As per the Chief Commissioner's post below, we are still scouting. We have a solid COVID safe plan in place and we remind our scouting families that if your child or any member of your family is unwell or has flu like symptoms please keep your child home from scouts and please let your leaders know they will be absent. This includes if any family member is waiting for a COVID-19 test result for any reason. Stay safe and keep others safe.

11.01.2022 Scouts racing starts indoor rock climbing on the weekend.

03.01.2022 Thank you to the Brisbane South Abseiling Team for giving up their time to give our Cub Scouts the opportunity to experience abseiling on Sunday.

03.01.2022 Tarcoola Unit from Pamphlett Tennyson Sea Scouts after an awesome session of moving approximately 10 cubic metres of tree mulch and clearing away charcoal. This replaces the mulch washed away by the 2011 Brisbane River Flood. The garden is the area around the Campfire/Story telling area at Pamphlett. We celebrated a job well done with a sausage in bread and a short campfire. Fun, Teamwork and looking after the environment! Thanks to all that helped.

01.01.2022 Another fun campfire for Cub Scouts , damper came out perfectly and we finished the night singing a very enthusiastic version of Queen’s We Will Rock You
