25.01.2022 Panaceum Group Support Purple Bra Day 2020 Purple Bra Day is a Breast Cancer awareness campaign championed by IGA. The aim of this day is to raise funds which allow continued support to provide specialist breast care nursing, counselling, financial and practical support to all West Australians diagnosed with Breast Cancer and their families. The funds raised ensure this care can be provided for free. Tomorrow Thursday 15th of October 2020 the Panaceum Group are running our... own fundraiser for this amazing cause that is close to home for some of those around us. Breast Cancer affects so many women, and most of us know someone who has been affected by Breast Cancer. Quite often we wish we could do more to support those affected. We are lucky to have amazing resources available to us and wonderful breast care nurses in Geraldton but this is due to fundraising and strong campaigns like Purple Bra Day to raise awareness and build the capacity to continue to provide the services patients need. How can you support this amazing cause? Donate your spare change or a dollar value of your choosing to the cause. Collection boxes will be available at our Panaceum practices including Panaceum Medical, Panaceum Seacrest and Panaceum allied and Industrial Health. Or you can choose to donate online at: https://purplebraday.com.au/t/panaceumgroup See more

23.01.2022 PATIENT NOTICE - CLOSURE OF ONLINE BOOKINGS - CALL INSTEAD PLEASE Dear Patients, We have made the difficult decision to shut down the ability to make appointments online for all Panaceum Group practices and departments. This is due to patients using the online system to gain an appointment for Coronavirus assessment, which puts other patients and the practice at risk. For the safety of all and to quickly get patients the testing they need, those that have a potential risk of... Coronavirus are being managed away from the practice premise using a new telehealth system. We hope you will understand that we must protect the practice from a potential transmission of Coronavirus, not only to protect patients in the waiting room but also the community of Geraldton. If we do have a positive result for Coronavirus the practice is at risk of being closed for up to 14 days. The impact of this on the community would be too high and we are doing everything we can to manage this risk. You can help us by calling if you have concern that you may have come in to contact with the Coronavirus, have travelled internationally in the past 14 days or have cold or flu symptoms. Our resources are at the greatest stretch that we have ever experienced, as with all health care facilities, so please follow advice being given by public health stay home and call. As we have shut our online bookings our phone lines will be busier than ever, we ask you to please be patient. If your enquiry is not urgent please call outside of our busiest times. Our business busiest times are 8am-9.30am and 12-2pm. Thank you for your understanding. It needs a united community response that is sensible and measured to get through risks like this. 22.01.2022 Keeping our practice and patients "covid safe". We are so thankful that West Australia is in a period of calm from Covid-19, and we hope it will continue. So, if you are under 75 we are sorry to say you will not be able to have an assessment with our delightful nursing staff, you will need to wait a few more years! Sorry for the inconvenience, and any aging concerns, please delete the email and have a great weekend.

10.01.2022 Back to school: Does your child need a foot check up with a Podiatrist? Childrens feet are always on the move. Whether your child is standing, sitting, walking..., running or skipping; their feet are on the move and growing! Your childrens feet will spend most of their growth period in school. It is important to ensure you have good advice on school shoes and that your child has the correct fit in length and width. Your child needs about 1cm of growing room between the longest toe and the top end of the shoe. Your childs growing feet should not be squashed. A check up with a Podiatrist is recommended if your child complains about sore feet or if you notice changes, such as uneven shoe wear, hard skin, lumps or bumps on the feet. Recurrent pain in the feet or legs is not normal and needs to be checked out. If you have any concerns about your childs foot health seek help from one of the Podiatrists at Panaceum Group. Call Panaceum Seacrest on 9923 9999, 75 Barrett Drive, Wandina or Panaceum Allied Health, 233 Lester Avenue, Geraldton on 9920 8151. Alternatively you can book online via our website www.panaceum.com.au or the appointuit app. FUN FACT: Most people have one foot that is larger than the other. Make sure both feet are measured and fit your shoes to the larger foot. DID YOU KNOW? The human foot has 250 000 sweat glands. You should avoid shoes made from synthetic materials, as childrens feet perspire and need to be able to breath.
