21.01.2022 Red silverbeet is a great staple vegetable to grow in your own garden and WHO needs convincing when it looks this visually appealing!! A relative of beetroot, silverbeet generally has thick crinkled leaves with prominent leaf ribs and stems. In Australia we tend to treat it as a leafy green vegetable but the stems are also useful, and can be cooked like celery.
