25.01.2022 This last few remaining weeks of panda oriental would need your assistance. A new owner might be taking over soon, they will be able to renovate and bring in more stocks, and run the business better then what we could. We failed as a business, made zero profit. For four years we took the heavy punches and burden with building the initial core and foundations of the business. And made it prepared and ready for the new owner.... Panda oriental is located in the middle of the centre, which makes it the main core, once the new owner takes ownership, it will have an impact towards the community, it would give others the confidence and drive to start a new business. Which would also bring in more people to consider and be willing to buy land and property around the area. A better community means a better Western Australia. These are some reasons why we did not want to just walk out but have this place growing and developing. Once we support our local neighboring businesses, the expansion of new businesses will open, thus giving the people more opportunities and choices to explore and to shop from. Support your local district businesses as much as you can, and in a year from now, from the growth and expansion, there will be a second phase building. Which would most likely even provide a bank down here, a bank, which is a crucial part for any district. And by then properties around piara waters and harrisdale would not only have increase in value but also increased more then what was initially expected. Just by sharing this post, brings it closer to getting a bank down here. Tim

25.01.2022 These past few days, customers has been sharing their thoughts and feelings with us. Some even shed their tears, expressing their emotions, leaving us puzzled with sadness but also joy. Over the years, we have build strong bonds and relationships with the people of piara waters. It’s almost as if we are one big family. I remember your smiles, your happiness, your anger. We have come to a solution, that if anyone is wanting to or able to find someone capable of running an orie...ntal business, we will stay until a potential buyer takes over, so this way, the centre will not have an empty unit, and the value of the district sustains. It will be a new lease, offer of rent and outgoings will be much less to the existing lease. Because of current circumstances of the economy. If you are interested or if you found someone that is interested, you will be paid a commission fee for the introduction when the buyer signs the new lease. Tim

24.01.2022 Chinese hot spicy snacks. Popular snacks in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Im gonna be honest, I tasted some and Im not use to the flavours. Interesting taste but to spicy for me. ... 24.01.2022 These are actually very addictive. Soft French bread. This is actually my second bag, theres only three bags left on the shelf. I am really sorry I know it should be for customers, but I am strangely addicted to it. Its easy to chew, and its not that sweet. Tim

22.01.2022 Hokkaido hot cakes. Just look at how fluffy they are, look how the margarine and syrup just sinks into the pancake. And yet when you taste it, its texture still manages to still stay soft. Maccas pancakes are delicious, but compared to this, the bread is softer and the syrup is much less sweeter and less stickier. So it really depends on individuals preferences. 21.01.2022 Heres a scenario today. Warning a little vulgar. A young lady and her partner came in today, and while speaking to themselves, she said, fxxking Chinese, fxxking Chinese. I, being a straight forward person, went and approached her.... I said to her, You know, I dont actually speak mandarin. She replied, Yea but you speak mandarin right. I replied, My first language is English, and I can hardly speak mandarin.. you know, there are millions of Chinese people around the world, and they dont like each other.. And she replied with, I highly doubt that. I replied, There are Chinese people in Singapore, Chinese people in Taiwan, Chinese people in Hong Kong, Chinese people in China. All with different political views, and they dont like each other. Im open to different races and ethnicities, i would go out with anyone, I went out with an Australian, a Korean, a Japanese, a Chinese. We have to widen our perspective, because the world is changing, in the future, people are going to be mixed. She replied, Yea like me and him(partner). I replied, Yea, and you know what, not only that but theres gonna be artificial intelligence. She replied, Were too stupid, it wont be for a 100 years. I replied, Well its happening now, in China, Japan South Korean are making them. Maybe 30 to 40 years from now there will be robots living amongst us.. anyways, it was nice meeting you guys. They replied, Yea you too. I replied, See ya guys. They replied, See ya. You know, when we subject a specific race or ethnicity to a particular description, what we are actually doing is only bringing them closer together. But also I am a forgiving person, some just needs some time to learn and grow. There are thousands of Chinese people here in Australia which are born in Australia or have become an Australian citizen which means their allegiance is to Australia and its people. I hope that clarifies things. And at times like these you need your chinese Australians, because Ill tell you this now, who in the world is gonna help you translate and negotiate with China. I dont believe in race or ethnicity, I see individuals. This world dont even belong to us, and were only here just but a moment. Maybe next time if you are pissed off at a specific group of people, try not to do it in public, buy a punching bag and work on it, it helps reduce stress. Or play some computer games, go cook and laugh and be happy, life is too damn short. Chinese people is a race, which is a very broad statement. I cant even get pass level one. I just use half of the hot sauce. The taste itself is delicious, little sweet, but too damn hot. 18.01.2022 Just to give everyone a heads up. This Japanese green tea from Japan that has no sugar is really strong. Very rich in taste. I drank a little bit of it and wow. Dont recommend with an empty stomach. I could feel it literally going through my organs.. Maybe if you had a heavy hangover, this would clean it out. Or you ate to much, this would clean it out. It even says on the description Antioxidants 300.. its literally slimming tea.... Its powerful. Definitely not for kids. So it wont be available to people under 18. Tim

13.01.2022 Im gonna be real honest with everyone. We had about 6 enquires from people that are interested in buying the shop at a very low value. If we were to sell off our shop, all the stocks would be sold off, what we have of value are only the shelves. All 6 enquires from people that were interested with the shop were to replace our oriental store with an Indian grocery store. No enquires for another oriental store.... So the chances of another Oriental store opening within this radius, will be very low. Everyone has a choice. You can choose to watch how the outcome unfolds, or you can choose to support. Tim

13.01.2022 Filipino products are now available at panda oriental. Took us awhile to bring them in. Cause we had to do some serious budgeting, in-fact, still budgeting, and we were only able to bring in some of the common Filipino products. Recently packed this past few days, and to our surprise, even without any introduction or advertising, the turnover has been quick.... I noticed that Filipino people tend to get along with any other race. They are open minded and flexible at any given situation. Positive and enduring people, these are some reasons why I have such admiration and fondness to their people and culture. Also, del monte spaghetti sauce is delicious. Tim

13.01.2022 If you go into an oriental store and don’t know what to buy, go to the Korean section and look for their snacks. Most Asians know about korean snacks. Cause their tasty and cause of the influence of korean pop music and korean drama. Shrimp chips and onion rings are common popular ones.... Even the little cartoon onion with the sunnies and headphone looks so happy, so happy and excited to be eaten.. Tim

Ever since we opened here in 2016, in a newly residential area with a growing population, to this day the rent has been very heavy. And even given the current circumstances of the economy, we are still required to pay such heavy rent. It is just insane. Jamaica blue, central cafe, Rockman’s and now panda oriental will be permanently closed at this centre.... When more businesses closes down, what this also means is that commercial and residential properties around this area depreciates in value. So if you are wondering why your property around Harrisdale depreciated in value, and why you can’t sell it for more, these are some reasons why. If neighboring small businesses closes down, property value goes down. And just so people know, panda oriental is located in the middle of this centre. Once the shelves are moved out and the lights turned off and that panda signage taken down. It might have a domino affect towards other current tenants. 10.01.2022 Free ramen big bowl eaten within 10 minutes alone. Japanese take away shop at Stockland Harrisdale. Jumbo bowl ramen challenge. Some do not see the discount as necessary. Some might buy a few items, but shop regularly. Some might buy a big amount but shop less regularly. So it varies from customers. Each day I put the date and ethnicities down on my notes. It is interesting to look at but the higher the number, it gets difficult to keep track of. So i wont be keeping track of it from here on. Heat it up with the microwave, add the butter and syrup.. and once you put a piece of that cake into your mouth.. oh my.....
