24.01.2022 Safety around train tracks and train stations is Qld Rail’s number one priority. They want to raise the bar with safety performance and believe that everyone ha...s a part to play in achieving an incident and injury free environment. Recently when one of our students, Zach, lost his Soccer ball on the train tracks near the College, thankfully his friend, Dean, knew to contact Queensland Rail who sent out their Rail Operations Response Unit (RORU) to safely retrieve the ball. Representatives from RORU, Kieran Ryan and Nathan Harris retrieved and delivered the ball to the College and thanked the students for doing the right thing and not endangering themselves or others in trying to retrieve the ball themselves. ** For any lost property, phone 3072 8500 (located at Central Station)**

04.01.2022 This morning hosted the first of many special events this week, as St A’s shared in its inaugural Traditions Assembly. It celebrated the culmination of 7 years... of Primary schooling and the tradition of our Year 6 students wearing the secondary school uniform of the school they will attend next year. Our seniors reflected on their education journey so far and were honoured with words of wisdom from two of our past students, James Clarke, 2020 School Captain of Marist College Ashgrove and Arwen Dias-Jayasinha, 2020 Head Girl at Brisbane Girls Grammar School. It was also wonderful to have a number of the Year 12 graduating class of 2020 in attendance. We are so grateful to still have these ties with our past students and hope our current Year 6 graduates will continue this relationship with St A’s for many years to come! See more

04.01.2022 What better way to welcome winter, than with a bowl of 'Warming Pumpkin and Ginger Soup'. This delicious dish was served as a teachers’ special by the tuckshop ...team at Coombabah State School. Convenor, Jenny, shares her recipe with you. "The rolls are sold as soup cobs from Gold Coast Bakeries. I scooped 3/4 of roll out and par baked the shell and make the croutons out of the insides of rolls. It could be done for students in a normal roll then placed in a 12 oz soup bowl with lid. I feel you could even use the top of the roll to seal soup in. The soup I made was quite thick filled cobs stood up well in the pie warmer for 1/2 hour". Thanks Jenny for sharing. See more
