14.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that we have commenced planning our 2021 Hobart Doll Show. The dates will be 18 & 19 September 2021 - the venue has been tentativel...y booked, once this is finalised we will let you know. The theme for the show is as we had intended for this year "Back to School". More details will follow in due course.

13.01.2022 As you are probably aware, it has become necessary to wind up the Northern Tasmanian Dolls, Bears and Miniatures Club. The Committee gave notice some time ago t...hat we intended to resign as it was not possible for the current Committee members to continue their roles. The request was made verbally to members, through our Facebook page and through mention in our meetings and Minutes. The request was made for anyone who would like to step forward and keep the Club going, to please nominate so that we could keep things going, sadly this resulted in only one nomination. As a result of the lack of nominations, the inability of the current Committee to continue and the pressures and limitations that COVID19 have placed on us, there is no alternative but to wind up the Club officially. The Committee has decided that the closing amount in club’s bank will be donated to Palliative Care. With regard to any prizes that you donated, (if you have not already picked it/them up from Statewide Embroidery), you need to contact Jenny 0448 000 766 or email [email protected] so as soon as possible to arrange when you will pick up by Friday 6th November. All items that are not picked up by this time, will also be donated to Palliative Care for them to sell or raffle. The Committee would like to express to all members and Stall holders how much we have enjoyed being involved in the organising of the Club and Fair, it is a pity that we are not able to continue, because as it stood prior to the current difficulties that have beset the Committee the Club was looking forward to a strong future. We are very happy that the Club provided northern Tasmania with successful Doll, Bear, Craft and Miniature shows and that each one was very successful for both the Club and stall holders, but sadly as the situation stands it is not possible to provide this enjoyment to our Community any longer. 11.01.2022 This guy is excellent given the scale of the heads and the likenesses produced. This is the difference between "stylised production dolls" and individually hand painted. That is why we do what we do ;)
