15.01.2022 This is an amazing painting of the Flinders Ranges by talented Panorama Art Group student, Gwen Burrowes. Her attention to detail is astounding! This particular painting has been used to promote the Flinders.

15.01.2022 I asked this young lady if she would mind me painting her a few weeks ago. She kindly obliged and this is the result. She works at an up market bakery/cafe in Aberfoyle park where their baking is next to none. Jordy is an extremely exquisite lady who is so kind and obliging to everyone.

15.01.2022 This stunning work, which Is 1 metre square would look amazing on some lucky persons wall. It is another example of Di Davies superb talent.

13.01.2022 A little birdie told me that big things are coming Jordys way, in the not too distant future. Jordy Paech, her portrait and artist Peter Findlay.

12.01.2022 David has just returned from the Florence Academy of Art. His magnificent self portrait, in progress shows his amazing painting skills. Mark my words, David Kemp is heading for a very successful painting career.

11.01.2022 "Perilous Mountain Pass" Artist. Peter Findlay.

11.01.2022 Peter Findlay 22 mins Peter Graham had an incredibly tragic life after his vehicle went off an unmarked, unsafe bridge which left him totally paralysed, except for minor head movement. His wife had died years before and their only child died from a heart condition. I heard that the doctors had suggested that he moved down to Adelaide, where our weather would allow him to get out of an iron lung he was confined to be in when he lived in Queensland. One of my students told ...me this incredibly heart rendering story which moved me to tears. She showed me a paint by numbers work he had struggled with. The next day I decided to pay Peter a visit and offered my services to teach him how to paint, as this was the only pleasure he had in life, besides smoking cigarettes and barracking for the Tigers! Over the next few few years, we held several art exhibitions for Peter, which enabled him to buy a motorised wheelchair, colour TV, cartons of fags etc...As there was no payout for his accident, he didnt have any money and the xtra he got from his painting sales was very rewarding. He sold 100% of all of his works which is such an impressive record. I got him a little cap, painted it black and yellow and got the tigers to sign it for him. Even the special painting easel was painted in his favourite club colours. Peter lived out the remaining 5years and we both looked forward to each others company every week. I was extremely and deeply saddened by his passing. So when my students tell me they cant something, remember dear old Peter Graham and what he achieved!

11.01.2022 A caricature I recently came across that I did of Ringo Starr during the Beatles visit in 1964.

10.01.2022 Cute and cuddly. This wonderful painting by Fay Packham . Oil 12"x16" has to make you smile.

10.01.2022 "Liam McCarthy" 16"x12" Oil . A great likeness painted by his Mother Jane McCarthy.

09.01.2022 This is our Studio, where the magic happens!

09.01.2022 I was asked recently to give a two day painting demo to the Copper Coast Art Group and unfortunately I was unable to finish it because of time constraints. This painting now completed, was almost the same as a painting I had done quite a number of years before titled" Second Valley Seascape" Check out Panorama Art Group Facebook, for more quality oil paintings by my talented art students, past and present; including Victoria Rolinski, Barry Spicer, Kathy Doley, Peter Heinjus, Gwen Burrowes, James Dean, David Kemp and Lindsay Killminster to name a few. Cheers and happy viewing.

08.01.2022 This African Elephant was beautifully captured by Flavia Tischendorf.

07.01.2022 This rather spectacular painting was created by promising new student Jodie White.

06.01.2022 Great portrait of David Bowie by talented artist Jane McCarthy

05.01.2022 Finally completed my daughter and her two little ones at Christmas, checking out their presents. I suggested Alana wear the little blue skirt as a top, so I could put my favourite colour in as the sun came out.

04.01.2022 This truly beautiful painting was done several years ago by talented student Louise Feetham. Sadly Louise passed away this year She was an inspiration to us all, who knew her and her amazing sense of humour. She is truly missed, but her legacy lives on through her work. This painting is a favourite of so many of her friends and adorns her husband John's bedroom wall.

03.01.2022 "Lancasters at Dawn" 700mm x500mm. Artist Barry Spicer

03.01.2022 After listening to some pretty harsh comments & arguing over reopening or completely shutting down for another two weeks, someone in their right mind wrote this.... Dont know who wrote it, but its spot on. Perspective: WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT ... I heard that we are all in the same boat, but it's not like that. We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat. Your ship could be shipwrecked and mine might not be. Or vice versa. For some, quarantine is optimal. A moment of reflection, of re-connection, easy in flip flops, with a cocktail or coffee. For others, this is a desperate financial & family crisis. For some that live alone they're facing endless loneliness. While for others it is peace, rest & time with their mother, father, sons & daughters. With the $600 weekly increase in unemployment some are bringing in more money to their households than they were working. Others are working more hours for less money due to pay cuts or loss in sales. Some families of 4 just received $3400 from the stimulus while other families of 4 saw $0. Some were concerned about getting a certain candy for Easter while others were concerned if there would be enough bread, milk and eggs for the weekend. Some want to go back to work because they don't qualify for unemployment and are running out of money. Others want to kill those who break the quarantine. Some are home spending 2-3 hours/day helping their child with online schooling while others are spending 2-3 hours/day to educate their children on top of a 10-12 hour workday. Some have experienced the near death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it and some are not sure if their loved ones are going to make it. Others don't believe this is a big deal. Some have faith in God and expect miracles during this 2020. Others say the worst is yet to come. So, friends, we are not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different. Each of us will emerge, in our own way, from this storm. It is very important to see beyond what is seen at first glance. Not just looking, actually seeing. We are all on different ships during this storm experiencing a very different journey. Realize that and be kind. Unknown author PLEASE SHARE THIS POST - IT NEEDS GO GO VIRAL.
