23.01.2022 Uh oh! Tank the tiny dinosaur has got himself into trouble. He and his dinosaur friends have activated a digital scanner and uploaded themselves directly into... the Melbourne Museum website. Where could they be hiding? Good news: we have a clue for you! As the self-appointed security for the group, Tank takes the health and safety of his prehistoric pals very seriously. Word from the web is that he was last seen looking at some helmet options for his friend Petri... Join the search for Tank and his friends, and you could win one of three prize packs. Are you ready? https://fal.cn/3a5Zt
23.01.2022 We are absolutely thrilled to announce the NILLUMBIK OUTSTANDING TEACHER during remote learning presented by Cindy McLeish MP to our very own Miss Zoe Payne!!!...! Well done Zoe - a very well earned award. It was lovely to hear that there were pages of nominations for our Panton Hill teachers. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated, caring and hard working team of teachers and feeling so grateful to have a beautiful community who support us so well. See more
22.01.2022 Nature- inspired, alternative advent ready for December 1st! If you would like to see me, muddle through the making of one of these live, check out my last IG...TV. I had such a great time and hope you will see how a creative space can be slow, mindful, dotted w mistakes and a lot of making up as you go... and yet something joyous (& festive!), may still be born from it! I will share an example list for 24 daily prompts I mentioned in the demo... Make Give. Nature. Treat. Nourish. Thank you @nspcc_official for inspiring this Craft O’Clock and I hope some of you will feel inspired to sign up and create your own fundraiser to support this brilliant charity. #advent #homemade #nature #mindful #dailyprompt #craft #craftfornspcc #craftoclock See more
18.01.2022 It is so important that childrens voices are captured as part of this pandemic and for historical records. https://thesector.com.au//dear-australia-project-offers-c/ As a result of this momentous time in history, Australia Post believes it is important to record the thoughts of those experiencing significant change. To support the recording of this thinking, Australia Post has created a national letterbox where, from now until 18 August, anyone participating can write a le...tter to share their experience of the COVID-19 pandemic. The letters will then be curated by the National Archives, with eligible letters being kept for future generations, allowing all Australians to record their impressions of this remarkable time.

15.01.2022 Hi On The Hill lovers! Unfortunately this year we are unable to have a proper festival. However, we still want to celebrate what makes Panton Hill so special. T...his year, from the 18th to the 25th of October we are going to relive some of our past festivals through installations around the town centre. To make this possible, we need your help. If you live in Panton Hill; are part of a community group; a regular stall holder or performer; or just love our town, we would like you involved! This means making a scarecrow who can be part of the installations. We want to encourage the use of recycled and repurposed material to reduce our impact. These will need to be delivered to the church building on the weekend before (10-11/10). From here our committee will be able set them up ready for the 18th of October. Make sure you follow the On The Hill Festival facebook page to stay updated. If you have any questions, queries or want to help out in any way, feel free to contact us through the facebook page. 11.01.2022 Saying Use your words as a behaviour management instruction is a good start, but getting involved, working through basic feelings and guiding kids through the...ir social struggles will equip them with strategies for next time. Here are some suggestions for extending the concept of behind "use your words". You can also try using my song, "Hard Feelings", from "Senses". It helps children learn about what they are feeling and coaches them through expressing their feelings. Full song/video: https://youtu.be/Wvj_M235UpA
10.01.2022 This explanation is so good. Self regulation takes ages to master....and it is a gradual thing that develops with endless co-regulation by someone safe who loves us.
10.01.2022 Wise words from Brené Brown. "There is immeasurable power in our children watching us practice self-kindness vs. berating ourselves or putting ourselves down when we stumble, fail, or make mistakes. And, no matter how we encourage them to talk to themselves, they are definitely watching to see what really matters."

However, we would love for you to join us for a chat about our approach to and delivery of a quality education in a caring and supportive environment. We look forward to seeing you soon. See more
08.01.2022 Child - "How old are you, Grandpa?" Grandpa - "I'm 81, dear." Child - "So does that mean you were alive during the Coronavirus?" Grandpa - "Yes, I was." Child -... "Wow. That must have been horrible, Grandpa. We were learning about that at school this week. They told us about how all the schools had closed. And mums and dads couldn't go to work so didn't have as much money to do nice things. They said that you weren't allowed to go and visit your friends and family and couldn't go out anywhere. They told us that the shops ran out of lots of things so you didn't have much bread, and flour, and toilet rolls. They said that Easter holidays were cancelled. And they told us about all those thousands of people that got very sick and who died. They explained how hard all the doctors and nurses and all essential workers worked, and that lots of them died, too. That must have been so horrible, grandpa!" Grandpa - "Yes, that is all correct, but I was just a kid back then. But to tell you the truth I remember it differently... I remember playing in the garden for hours with mum and dad and having picnics outside and lots of bbqs. I remember making things with my Dad and baking with my Mum. I remember learning how to do hand stands and back flips. I remember having quality time with my family, even when they were being my teachers. I remember Mum's favorite words becoming 'Hey, I've got an idea...' Rather than 'Maybe later or tomorrow I'm a bit busy'. I remember making our own bread and pastry, growing our own vegies and having fresh eggs from our new chooks. I remember having movie night three or four times a week instead of just one. I remember we got to put our Christmas lights up in the middle of the year, just because we wanted to. It was a horrible time for lots of people you are right. But I remember it differently." Remember how our children will remember these times. Be in control of the memories they are creating right now, so that despite all the awful headlines and emotional stories they will come to read in their future years, they can only actually remember the happy times. 07.01.2022 One of the delights of working in a school is having the chance to share stories - and at this time of year we would normally have had the opportunity to share ...stories with our local three and four year olds at our Storytime sessions and of course our newest PHPS members, our 2021 preps. But were not going to let a global pandemic stop us! Our story loving staff have all recorded themselves reading a favourite story and we will share them with you over the next few weeks. We thought this might be a good opportunity for our newest members to start getting to know us just a little more. We are starting with Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge, written by Mem Fox, Illustrated by Julie Vivas and read here by our school principal, Kylie Richards. We hope you enjoy. All of the staff stories can also be found on our school website. See more

The dates below will stand for either scenario. If you are yet to enrol, please contact us as soon as possible so that you dont miss out on being part of our great learning community. See more
02.01.2022 "Finally, the silent search for meaning that gives such a deep and profound sense of joy and wellbeing is a totally normal human need. It allows a really unforced and spontaneous connection between the inner and outer world to occur. This is pure magic. Allowing children these moments of profound transcendence can be deceptively powerful in helping your child find their own uniqueness, their own sense of self and maybe a glimpse into their own soul."

02.01.2022 Latest blog by Maggie Dent- some serious common sense even though difficult in practice. She explores why learning about and experiencing disappointment in childhood can be a good thing. "This is an important thing to teach your kids early and often. There are some things we can fix and some things we just have to learn to accept and adapt to." https://www.maggiedent.com//helping-our-kids-master-disap/
