25.01.2022 Recently I had someone approach me to create for them a logo. I think customers don't always realise that when the question is asked and the business is explained, the mind of the graphic designer is already toying with ideas. It helps to immediately purge possible wrong directions with a design brief that includes a thematic idea. I once spent time designing a logo for a business that a cleaning business with a clean, minimal look, only to find the client wanted it VERY baroque. #logo #defineitright

25.01.2022 I also do wedding invites. I have created invitations for a 300-invite list down to a 30-invite list. I created this for a beautiful lady who was having her wedding and reception in a trendy tapas bar in Sydney back in 2005. Upon talking to her more, I knew the inspiration for the wedding invites would come from this venue she'd chosen. Large amber beads hung from the ceiling of this venue in a shimmering line against a dark backdrop. Perfect. This was my invitation. This is still my most popular one as it is bespoke and individually created.

21.01.2022 This was an early invite I designed for a beautiful couple in Melbourne, back in 2004. This wedding means alot to me, personally, as it was held 3 weeks before ours and they made an effort to come to ours. We ended our roadtrip of a honeymoon with their wedding. This was a beautiful Tiffany box inspired wedding invitation, complete with luxe white ribbon.

14.01.2022 This time it was something simple. My youngest daughter's class has the Term Theme of Food and Restaurants. The 4-6 year olds have worked to set up a mock restaurant in their classroom here in Amsterdam. Their teachers asked for a menu that was fun and simple.
