20.01.2022 Boy it’s been a big year for Paper Mache Studios! After the building of the brand new studio space, and the arrival of the boy Otis Catanchin Rex, I had the pleasure of working on some fantastic new Australian music, starting with the mixing and mastering of three new albums from Andrea Keller, Still Night: Music In Poetry, The Komeda Project and "Five Below Live. Then there was mastering for Paul Grabowsky’s Moon’s Of Jupiterall superb albums. With the Bee Sharp Big... Band’s new album featuring and led by US trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, we strove to create the most authentic modern production possible in this genre, and consulted with Wynton Marsalis’s own engineer Jeff Jones The Jedi Master on a couple of tracks. Very happy with how this one turned out! Other highlights included: John Mcall’s new album Secular Jamie Oehlers new album Night Music Cezary Skubiszewski’s Picnic At Hanging Rock (album release) The new ATM15 Big Band live album The debut album from young trombonist Josh Bennier To The Bone K A T A N K l N's new single "Midnight Sun"(Helen Catanchin) The new Omelette album (Jordan Murray and co) Raleigh Williams’ La Nuit Blanche: Live at the Paris Cat Songs From the Silver Screen, a new large ensemble album from Alinta Chidzey, Remco Keijzer and Roger Young. Koi Kingdom’s album Menagerie, (Marcos Villalta, Cheryl Durongpisitkul and Stephen Hornby) The new Fabric album Apes (Shaun Rammers, Mick Meagher and Ronny Ferella) Dan Bolton’s Living To Regret It album And just about to begin mastering for a new live album from Tinky Trumpah, Bae Il Dong () and Simon Barker. Looking forward to an equally stimulating 2019!

17.01.2022 Album spam 1/many Since I moved to Melbourne in 2015, I've released 3 albums. The 4th is coming out very soon and I couldn't be prouder of how it has turned out.... I've never felt this comfortable putting my name to a recording and I can't thank the people that were involved enough. We're launching the album at the Alley Cat (The Night Cat) on the 18th of December. I've put a link in the comments with all of the details if anyone is interested in coming along! 17.01.2022 So happy that my beautiful partner Helen has found the inspiration, time and energy during these strange times to produce this amazing video clip for her new track. The song and its musical production are both moving and powerful, and the visuals so poetic and poignant in their telling of the story. A huge and ambitious undertaking with a lot of heart Final touches with the mixing and mastering done right here at Paper Mache.

12.01.2022 One of my bigger mixing/mastering jobs of 2019 was the new album from Josh Bennier, released just last December. It's a large, ambitious and powerful 7 track album which combines latin percussion with jazz ensemble. Great playing all 'round from Zac O'Connell Theo Carbo Stuart McCowan Paddy Fitzgerald Luke Andresen Cristian Manuel Saavedra and Josh Bennier!
