25.01.2022 Appreciation post! You know you have amazing families when a parent brings in tinned tomatoes after remembering we couldn't get any in our shopping last week This has given us a great idea! We are going to start a donation table for families to leave any grocery items from home that they don't need. These items will be free to take for those families who need them or are struggling to access them in their regular shopping.... "Give what you can, take what you need"

21.01.2022 Day 1 and check it out! We really do have the best families! Remember to take something if you need it! Don't feel shy :)

21.01.2022 Reminder: pyjama and beanie week all week starting tomorrow

17.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated our 1st year at Paper Planes. It was such an exciting day and we received so much love from all of our wonderful families. I am so excited for the next year :)

08.01.2022 Dear Families Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is starting again on 13 July 2020. If you were receiving CCS before 6 April 2020, it will automatically start again if you’ve stayed eligible and your enrolment is current and confirmed.... Follow these five steps to make sure you’ve stayed eligible and receive the right amount of CCS: 1. Give Centrelink your 202021 family income estimate to receive the correct CCS percentage and avoid an overpayment. 2. Check your activity hours to receive the correct amount of hours of CCS per fortnight*. 3. Make sure your child meets immunisation requirements. 4. Check your child’s enrolment details are current with your child care service and re-enrol if you need to. 5. Confirm your income for 201819 if you haven’t already by 30 June 2020. *From 13 July 2020, the Australian Government is easing the activity test for CCS. This means you may be able to apply for extra activity hours if COVID-19 has affected you. There will be more information about how to do this in July. If you’re new to child care, you should claim CCS as soon as possible. From 13 July 2020, you’ll pay full fees unless you’re getting CCS. For more information, visit Services Australia. The Department of Education, Skills and Employment has created an information sheet for families about the transition arrangements for the end of the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package and the return to CCS.

03.01.2022 We are feeling the love. Here at paper planes we were recommended to be recipients of sponsored cupcakes from caked by Beck for frontline workers Thank you so much for voting for us, this was a very beautiful surprise.

02.01.2022 Here is some useful information for families who have been affected by the current covid-19 situation from centrelink in regards to CCS - ***If your child can’t attend child care: In some situations, your child can’t attend child care. This could be because:... -your child is sick or isolated -you’re sick or isolated -you choose to keep them away as a precaution. If your service is open and they’re charging you fees, you may still get CCS. You can now get CCS for 20 extra absences per child for the 2019-20 financial year. This means, you can get up to 62 absences. You can use these absence days for any reason. You don’t need to do anything for your CCS to continue and we don’t need evidence. The 62 days include absences your child’s had or will have this financial year, not only absences because of coronavirus. In special circumstances, you may be able to get CCS for more than 62 absence days. Talk to your child care service about this. ***If your family income changes: Your family income estimate affects how much CCS you can get. If you or your partner stop work, your family’s income may change. You should update your income estimate. ***Additional Child Care Subsidy: If you use child care, and are in temporary financial hardship because you can’t work, you can apply for ACCS Temporary Financial Hardship. ACCS provides extra help with the cost of approved child care for up to 13 weeks. You can get up to 100 hours of subsidised child care per fortnight. You’ll need to provide evidence of your reduced ability to pay child care fees, like an email from your employer. To claim ACCS you must: -be eligible or already get CCS -have experienced temporary financial hardship due to an event in the last 6 months -have a substantially reduced ability to pay child care fees. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au//applying-during-temp
