21.01.2022 FIRE EVACUATION! Dear families, This morning at 7:23am we did an evacuation from the building due to the fire alarm going off. The alarms were turned off at 7:43 and confirmed there was no fire. Rhodes fire department gave us the all clear and we were able to go back inside at 7:47am ... Thank you to all the families that waited this morning with us and while we were waiting for the all clear. The children were really happy and enjoyed exploring the outdoor grass area where they found 15 snails and some other black and grey bugs! Due to our regular practice drills, the educators were able to handle the situation in a calm and professional matter and the children were well aware of the routine for the drill

The Children's Week Council of Australia strongly advocates and promotes the United Nation Convention on the Rights of a Child. The Children’s Week National Theme for 2020 is UNCRC Article 15 Children have the right to meet together and join groups and organisations as long as it does not stop other people from enjoying their rights. I...n exercising their rights, children have the responsibility to respect the rights, freedom and reputations of others. Throughout this week the children will be able to engage in a range of experiences and activities that promote their development in understanding their rights.
