11.01.2022 This is an edge retention test of a custom project of a machete made of 15N20 swedish saw blade steel, this will tell me if the steel was heat treated correctly or I should just cry for a bit. I do this before I attache the handle and finish the blade off. Here I'm cutting a tree branch of a bush we have removed a little while ago on our property and it's fairly dry. I think it's was ether a banksia or botle brush, ( I'm not great with identifying species of vegetation, I can barely tell the difference between a carrot and a banana) but this wood is hard as a cat's head anyways, a great test subject.
