25.01.2022 Unfortunately, the 2020 Derby Day will not be held due to the current climate with COVID-19 restrictions. It is extremely disappointing knowing that this year w...e will not be able to bring Derby Day to Port Augusta along with the glitz and glamour provided by our guests; with the great support from the local community; as well as raising funds for the Port Augusta Special School. We encourage you to enjoy the 2020 Derby with friends at home or at your local for a great day of entertainment ... and of course dress in style!

19.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to the 2020 Port Augusta Racing Club Premiership Winners. This year the premiership was determined after the last two races of the day with a number of jockeys and trainers chasing the last win of the season. Real Easy winning the HORSE of the YEAR, Trained by Wally Bencic and ridden by Eran Boyd on the day. Eran Boyd was awarded the JOCKEY of the YEAR with 9 wins for the season. Trevor Montgomerie won the TRAINER of the YEAR.... Thank you to everyone in the Industry; Trainers, Jockeys, Owners, Staff and Racing Officials for their continued support in 2020. We look forward to greeting you back at the track for the 2021 Racing Season!

19.01.2022 At the completion of the 2020 Race Season, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to a number of people. Trevor Morgan has been involved in the industry for 53 years; with the past 15 years at the PARC, initially as the Secretary in 2006. Trevor has a wealth of racing knowledge and contacts within the Industry of which the PA Racing Club is extremely appreciative. The club would like to thank Trevor Morgan for his dedication and service over the past 15 years and wish him all ...the best. We say a huge thanks to Annie for her services over the past 8 years, providing a great spread for our patrons and the racing participants. 18.01.2022 Ever wondered what happens in the off season at the Port Augusta Racing Club? Well the Tuesday Workshop Volunteers who seem to be on course several days a week, are now installing the NEW TICKET BOX, all thanks to the generous donation from the Port Augusta Steel Centre. THANK YOU Geoff and Julie Glen This project will compliment the recent entrance beautification upgrade, welcoming patrons to community events held at the course.

17.01.2022 A glorious day welcomed patrons for Pink Ladies Race Day with a crowd of over 550 enjoying the perfect weather and live entertainment. Congratulations to the Fashions on the Field Winners and a huge thanks to all those who supported the day. This day is a great reminder to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and the importance of checking on a regular basis. The Port Augusta Racing Club donated $500 to our local Breast Care Nurse, to assist local families, with patrons also don...ating on the day. 16.01.2022 LIFE MEMBERSHIP Vicki Fullerton was awarded Life Membership at the recent AGM. Vicki was involved with a Ladies Fundraising Committee for many years and was instrumental in granting the club $14,500 to be used in the upgrading and refurbishing of the Members Lounge in 2010. This was a vital initiative that resurrected the fortunes of the PA Racing Club and has put us in the strong position that our club now enjoys.... Vicki Fullerton has had a 50-year involvement with the Port Augusta Racing Club and it is with great pleasure that the club awards our first female recipient, Vicki for this honour.

05.01.2022 Due to the new Covid restrictions the Taminga Hotel Clare Valley Cup for 2020 is now cancelled for Patrons attending. However the horses will still be racing wi...th Industry essential workers only. Good luck to the horses and jockeys, trainers, owners! Patrons can support us by having a bet or two We haven’t had much luck with 2 of our main events cancelling this year, but we believe it’s for the best so we can have things back to normal and hopefully enjoy a normal Christmas with family and friends. If you purchased tickets through Eventbrite your tickets will be refunded, anyone who has put in drinks orders and paid for them, please email the club your bank details and who it was booked under.
