24.01.2022 CHRISTMAS RALLY! Come and enjoy December in our beautiful part of the world, with all the best people and ponies. Special thanks to Paracombe Wines for letting us ride through some of their paddocks - we’re in for some spectacular views from the top of their ridge!

22.01.2022 PONY CLUB CAMP WEEKEND - SO MANY PEOPLE TO THANK! The scary part is who we forget to mention, because so many people contributed to making it work. Thank you to our presenters - Caroline and Sally from SA Friends and Equines (SAFE) for the Arabian costume presentation, and Gary Slack from Bonnets for our saddle fitting session. Thank you to our organisers and 'do-ers' - Vicki and Kevin, Anthony and Katherine, Rosemary, the parents who ran point on the scavenger hunt and Julie... from Hooves, Paws and Claws who provided a bonanza of baling twine for DIY hay net making. Thank you to the members and families of members who problem-solved all weekend, making sure riders were mounted and campers were camping and hungry people were fed and messes were tidied up. Thank you to our sponsors who help make it all possible - JMS Rural, The Green Shed and Hooves, Paws and Claws. Congratulations to the riders who were brave and smart and kind and enthusiastic. And thank you to the horses and ponies who are the reason we all get to spend glorious hours in the great Paracombe outdoors! THANK YOU ALL!! See more

13.01.2022 There is so much wonderful advice and encouragement out there at the moment. We can only add this thought - friends make the good times better, and the hard times easier. Take care, reach out, and we’ll see you all soon. There is so much wonderful advice and encouragement out there at the moment. 13.01.2022 GOT ROOM TO AGIST A HORSE? A member is looking for agistment for 1 horse in the local area (but is willing to look a bit further afield too, for the right paddock). A non-shared paddock is preferred but not required. Room for float parking and a shed for feed and hay are required. If you've got something likely-looking, contact Juliet on 0411 115 489.

11.01.2022 BIG WELCOME AND HUGE THANKS TO NEW SPONSOR JMS RURAL! (Jarrad Schutt) Check out their fantastic services and the equally fantastic quality of their work. We look forward to working with them to support our club, their local family business, and our shared communities. THANKS, JMS RURAL!!

11.01.2022 **NOTE TO ALL GROUNDS USERS** The fences are down around the warm up arena, and between the warm up and main arenas, to allow some work on levelling both on Monday. Fences will be back up as soon as possible after that, cant be exactly sure when but will be ASAP.

10.01.2022 CALLING ALL CREATIVES. Would anyone in the PPEC family be interested in helping the committee put together a simple club newsletter? Nothing fancy, or regular (maybe just 1 or 2 a year), but it would be great to build our sense of club community by sharing stories, news and opportunities. Comment below if youre interested, or PM, or email [email protected].

09.01.2022 Yum! Kindly donated by our generous sponsors @thegreenshedfreshproduce Gumeracha for tomorrow’s rally. Thanks heaps, Frank and Rosemary

08.01.2022 A fun and challenging event at Pegasus - let us know if any Paracombe members are riding so we can support you!

08.01.2022 NON-RIDING MEMBERS OF THE PPEC FAMILY...have you considered becoming a social member? Its only $5, helps us keep track of our wonderful supporters, and also helps us apply for grants to maintain and improve the club (grant applications are always interested in number of members). Download a membership form and send it to [email protected]. Wed love to welcome you to the membership!

07.01.2022 IT'S PONY CLUB WEEKEND! Working Bee this Saturday 13th March, Dressage Training Rally this Sunday 14th March. Members, please check your emails for details of both (or comment below if you haven't received your email). Here's to the best sort of weekend...a horsey one!

06.01.2022 Please share this opportunity widely to help horse folk recover from the 2019/20 bushfires.

05.01.2022 Thanks Vicki Anne, lovely photos

05.01.2022 WELCOME AND THANK YOU TO OUR NEW SPONSOR - LAKESIDE NISSAN! The Uren family have been Paracombe locals for a long time, and were instrumental in establishing the original Paracombe Equestrian Club (check out our website's History page for some historical Uren references). We are very grateful to Darren and the Uren family for continuing to support local horses and riders by coming on board as major sponsors for 2020/21.

05.01.2022 FEBRUARY RALLY! Mounted games early before it gets hot, then horse health presentations in the shade from Tracy Lee (Cazedarnes Equestrian) and Caroline Payne (who will talk about horse poo and worms!). If you have any suggestions for your favourite mounted games or other horse health issues you’d like to learn about, let us know and we’ll try to plan them in. Put the date in your diary - SUNDAY 14 FEBRUARY - and watch this space for details as they are worked out.

05.01.2022 Congratulations and thank you to all riders, volunteers and supporters at todays rally. Lots of personal bests and boundaries successfully pushed! Next rally on October 11 is an Obstacles and Cross-Country Day - like and follow the event page on our FB Page.

04.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE ON A GREAT RALLY TODAY! Photos will follow, but great effort by members who worked with Rosemary and Sonia on the new Pony Club Australia equitation science syllabus including Karen, Maya and Eva who completed their E, D and D* levels. Also wonderful and very fitting to have equitation science instructor Pam Reid backing up the syllabus theory with ridden training - horses and riders worked hard to develop and practice ESI skills in rider safety, horse behaviour and equine welfare. And never forgetting the priceless supporters who cook for, carry for, encourage and celebrate our riding members - we know who you are, and we hope you know how much you are appreciated. NEXT RALLY - details to follow, but it will be a local trail ride followed by Christmas lunch at the club and a Tack Room Clear-out Bring-&-Buy.

04.01.2022 A lovely post from Pam Reid who instructed at our rally today

04.01.2022 DON’T FORGET THE WORKING BEE! This time next week we hope to be well into our working bee to give our beautiful grounds a well-earned clean and tidy. Members, please check your email for details about what you can bring to help but, at the very least, please bring yourselves and some elbow grease next Saturday 13th from 2pm. (Also looking forward to seeing you all at the dressage training rally the next day, Sunday 14th, too!)

03.01.2022 October Rally - Obstacles and Cross-Country Day. A good chance to do some foundation training and de-sensitisation, and to just have some good clean (safe!) fun!

03.01.2022 Will be a fun and busy day at tomorrow’s rally! Please make sure you are ready in good time for your sessions, whatever you are booked in for - lessons will start on time. No formal working bee today after all, but if anyone has time to pop by the club for half an hour to do some mowing, whipper snipping, stick-picking-up, toilet cleaning, kitchen wiping etc it would be much appreciated. You can contact Suzie Dunning for keys or anything else you need.

02.01.2022 TIME TO LET US KNOW IF YOURE COMING TO NEXT SUNDAYS RALLY * Use the GOING button on this event page to let us know if youre coming. ** Any amateur photographers in the PPEC extended family who could take and share photos of the day?... *** Any volunteers in the PPEC extended family who could help with jobs like timing and gate keeping? Its hard for Mums/Dads who need to keep an eye on their riders. VOLUNTEERS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AND WILL BE PAID IN FINE CANTEEN CUISINE. https://facebook.com/events/s/september-rally-come-try-fresh/3366089783434923/?ti=icl

02.01.2022 Thanks to Rosemary for her work around the grounds today.

01.01.2022 Current arena bookings for the week starting Sunday 30 August 2020. (See arena booking page on PPEC website for live updates, and book sessions using the BOOK NOW button at the top of this page.)
