25.01.2022 As per the Australian Government directions, our playground is now closed for use. The AHC came out Friday to place the signs and tape. Please respect this decision as it is in the best interests for EVERYBODY. The oval is still able to be used for your exercise but please keep your social distancing and the new gathering rules.

23.01.2022 End of week 2. 22nd November update

22.01.2022 Well at approx 2.20am this morning(saturday) someone decided it would be good to ram our top gate and dump a suspected stolen car and set it alight. Fortunately no major damage was sustained to the canteen or viewing deck. If anyone happened to see anything out of the ordinary then please pm us so we can forward to police. There was no damage to the burnt car that suggests it was the one that rammed the gates, so there will be another damaged vehicle out there. If you are visiting the oval soon, please be aware that the top entrance at hall is not usable. Hopefully we can get it towed away promptly.

21.01.2022 Today work commenced on the new toilet block. The original men's toilet was dismantled and slab levelled ready for the new toilet building. Thanks to Simon at SAR Bobcat for donating his time.

17.01.2022 The heat has really affected one of the long standing oak trees on the western bank of the oval. Fortunately there was no cricket on today. Please avoid the area around the new deck where the tree has come down until it has been cleared.

16.01.2022 Please note the formalities and presentations for our 50th anniversary tomorrow are scheduled to commence at 1.30pm. It would be great if attendees could be there by then. Informal festivities and station inspections will follow these presentations. We hope to see you there.

16.01.2022 An update on the Paracombe Cricket Club project at the oval.

16.01.2022 As the days get hotter it is increasingly worrying that the climate change sceptics might be off track. Floods, droughts and Adelaide's hottest day on record should be encouragement for each and every one off us to get off our couches and do our bit to help the environment. The Northern Foothills Land Care Group looks after the environment in our area and meets informally once every two(2) months. This month the meeting is at the Paracombe Hall and everyone is welcome to atte...nd. When: TUESDAY 19th February 2019 at 7.00pm Agenda: Brain storm priorities for the coming year whilst enjoying cheese bickies and nibbles. We would love to hear from the local landholders what is important to you. Purpose: Meet with like minded, caring people to learn how you can do your bit. If you are interested but unable to attend the Paracombe meeting please add your email to the mail out list [email protected] and we will keep you informed of up and coming public events. Events i the past have been well attended and thoroughly informative. In summary a great night out. We acknowledge our greatest impact can be achieved by providing public education, how can we working together to look after the environment cheaper and more efficiently. We have all had the experience of spraying weeds on our land only to have our neighbours seed bank blowing in and causing extreme frustration. Weed control must be a joint effort so lets get together. What exactly do we do.. a summary of last years achievements.

06.01.2022 I would like to remind everyone that the fallen tree at the oval is not a free for all to go and chop up. The oval is not a council oval and the comittee that spends money to keep the grounds would like to use the wood as a fund raiser AFTER the insurance assessor has been to inspect. Thankyou
