17.01.2022 This Vision Paradigm BI provides a bridge between business intelligence and business process, to enable the automation of decisions predicated by business intelligence systems. This is a simple concept, but it is also new and unique, as currently the business intelligence (BI) and the business process modelling (BPM) worlds live in separate ivory towers.... Ive been involved in IT, BI and BPM for a few years as a technical business analyst and have had a foot in both camps and I know them well. Recently I was drawing up a strategy map for BI readiness and realised that there was an opportunity to drastically change the relationship of BI and Business Process. BI is primarily used for decision support but provides no mechanism for implementing those decisions. I have prototyped custom plugins that reach outside of the box and interact with business systems using standard APIs. Start a new thought culture for BI and provide businesses with the tools to do it. A bit like a cult, but a very inclusive cult.
