20.01.2022 The current OQ bulletin is misleading about our event on Sunday. You don't need to pre-enter, but if you are bringing a group please let us know.

19.01.2022 Come to Hinterland Regional park on Hardys Road in Mudgeeraba this Sunday 14th July between 9am and 10:30am for bush trail orienteering. You might get a wee bit muddy.

15.01.2022 What a lovely day to go for a FREE walk / jog / run with a map in your hand at Coombabah Lakelands. Start times from 9am to 12 noon; no clipcards, no cost, no timing, no results. Courses range from Easy Short 1.9km to Extra Long 7.7km. If you are a COVID risk, which includes recently visiting a known COVID hotspot, please stay home. If you are bringing a sizeable group, please don't arrive all at once.
14.01.2022 The orienteering event planned for Elanora next weekend has been cancelled, or perhaps just postponed.
08.01.2022 Just a note - Scout Den O at Coomera has fallen through, not sure why. Trying to arrange lots more of the same.

07.01.2022 A huge and very pleasing day on Sunday with 80+ participants, mostly scouts. Our social distancing arrangements worked well so we are set to run more events. We found these after the event:
06.01.2022 Two events are now pencilled in. Scout Den Orienteering at Viney Park in Coomera on 25th October and Park O at Pizzey Park on 20th September.
06.01.2022 Pencil in Sunday week 26th July at Coombabah Lakelands for our comeback event. Raindate the following Sunday 2nd August.
05.01.2022 Bush Trail Orienteering at Coombabah Lakelands on Sunday - extended hours 9-12 - FREE, no clipcards, no timing, no results.
05.01.2022 So - where are we at? We have 7 members, and 4 of them live at my address. We are 5 years behind on paperwork which we expect to fix soon. We plan to run a few events next year, some sprint events, some bush, some park, but to be honest the thrill has gone.
04.01.2022 Our next event is planned for Sunday 26th May at the Regional Botanic Gardens in Benowa.
04.01.2022 EVENT POSTPONED TO NEXT SUNDAY 2nd AUGUST Let's hope it's less soggy then.
04.01.2022 Confirming that we will have our first event in many months at Coombabah next Sunday 26th July 9am - 11am starts; we are hoping for a large turnout. Naturally we need to change a number of the things which we usually do. - We will not supply clipcards and will ask you not to clip at controls - We will not record times or post results - We will not ask for money - Maps may not be re-cycled... Here is the flyer http://markroberts.id.au//ParadiseLostCoombabahLakelands20
03.01.2022 So the PLQ crew put in a lot of effort late last year and early this year preparing for a number of important national level sprint events to be held on the GC this year. Of course those events have now been cancelled and we are able to apply ourselves to community events again. Orienteering lends itself to social distancing, so maybe it's reasonable for us to put on some events for people who have become stir crazy. We could arrange for no physical cash involved, your map ...has not been touched by human hand, you don't need to punch, chit chat at 2m distance, that kind of thing. What do you think? Please email [email protected]
