24.01.2022 Today is a sad day.... Today is Haze’s last day with us for Doggy Daycare Haze is such a happy go lucky dog and he was a great doggo to have in any DDC pack. He will be missed dearly but hopefully he can find a just as awesome DDC where he’s moving. Cya later Haze

24.01.2022 Another beautiful day in Paradise

24.01.2022 Doggy Daycare Today we had a lovely pack of doggos A quieter than usual group but we still had a great time chasing the frisbee, playing in the hose and hanging out under the tree for some cuddles ... Cleo, Scout and Peachy loved chasing the frisbee... until the hose came out and it was aerial acrobatics to see who could catch the water and do the coolest tricks Sage and Odin didn’t move much from their usual spot hanging out under the tree, except to go for the occasional swim in the wading pool when Kimba would give them a turn. Scruffy decided cuddles where his favourite activity for the day as well as keeping an eye on all the other doggos and making sure they were behaving. Riley came in a close second for cuddle king but only because he had the tough decision between cuddles and chasing Rambo around. It was a bit warm today so we made sure that all the action was broken up with chill time in the shade quite a relaxing day had by all!

22.01.2022 Something to brighten your hump day

21.01.2022 Attention Our intention was to have one more week of Doggy Daycare before we were super busy with Christmas/NY Holidays However, due to next weeks weather predictions(high 30Cs), we have decided to make today the last day of Doggy Daycare for 2020.... What a year... We have loved taking on every new DDC doggo this year, we are blessed to be able to care for everyone’s beautiful pets Next year we will be launching Doggy Daycare 2.0 with our new 3000L pool and deck On the occasion that you have no where else for your doggos for any days next week, we will still take a small group each day for the next week ONLY. We will be closed for DDC from COB 04.12.2020 - 27.01.2021, the day after Australia Day. With the heat predicted next week all dogs will need to go into a room for the extremes of the day. We will endeavour to give them as much love, attention and play as we can and still send them home knackered. Thank you all for a great year and your continued support of our business. 21.01.2022 We didn’t have a spare second to post these pics yesterday so here they are now... Our gorgeous Doggy Daycare doggos Yesterday we had Rufus & Charlie join our pack. They are both super cute and confident little dogs!... We also had Max & Harvey come in for their intro day. Such lovely playful dogs! All of them had a ball meeting some new furever furends. We can’t wait to have them back!

21.01.2022 Doggy Daycare What an awesome day at doggy daycare today! We had so much fun chasing the frisbee, splashing in the pool and playing some epic tug-o-war ... Missy goes home undefeated tug champion with her signature move grip and drop. It proved a tough combination to beat but everyone certainly gave it a shot. Little George was here with his big heart and made sure he didn’t miss out on any of the fun. He was looking really keen to get in the pool so we put a floaty on him and he had a little paddle. Lots of new furends made today and I hope the doggos are half as tired as I am

20.01.2022 To all our valued clients, here are a few reminders and tips to ensure a smooth Christmas check in Before heading out to Paradise, please double check you have a confirmed booking with us. Upon us receiving your 'booking request’, you would have received our confirmation email with details of vaccination requirements, tick/flea and worming, deposit payable and our terms and conditions of board. Please make sure you are familiar with all our requirements, it very unpleasan...t for us to turn guests away due to expired vaccinations or unconfirmed bookings. If your pets are on medication or special diets - please bring in detailed instructions for your pets requirements.We are super busy during school holiday periods so please be patient and allow extra time to complete your check in, we will endeavour to make this process as streamlined as possible to get you away on your holidays. We have put many processes in place to ensure your check in is as efficient and hassle free as possible, including extending our operations hours for the busy days. Our extended opening hours for this period are as follows: Wednesday 23rd December 7-11AM & 2-6PM Sunday 3rd January 12NOON - 6PM If you have elected either AM or PM check in, please only arrive in the session selected. We have a huge volume of pets check in and out and we may not have availability if you arrive earlier than you have booked. Please be advised that we are unable to accept photo requests during peak periods and school holidays. Our teams full focus and attention is for the guests in our care. If time permits we will share randomly selected photos or videos during our closed period. 20.01.2022 Another great day at Doggy Daycare Today we welcomed Odin & Sage. These guys were a little uncertain at the start of the day but they warmed up quickly and fit right in with our Wednesday pack. We played with a giant ball in a yard full of sprinklers and had some quiet time hanging out under the trees.

18.01.2022 Doggy Daycare Today was legendary! We had such an awesome pack of dogs today at doggy daycare and we all had sooo much fun We were hoping to get a little rain but only really got enough to just settle the dust. So we decided to make our own with the hose all the doggos loved showing off their skills trying to catch the ‘rain’ in their mouths Alfie taking it to the next level trying to eat the hose...... Dirtiest dog of the day award goes to Jake the Groodle he was wearing half the paddock at one point after he and Scout had a wrestling match under the tree in the dirt then they proceeded to turn the pool into something that more resembled a swamp. Gigantic George the JRT was back and larger than life as usual he has figured out that dogs and saw stools make great spring boards to get to the treats quicker he’s such a smart little dude. Lily & Truffle the Standard Poodles have really found their feet and are loving playing and hanging out with their new furends. The best part of this job is seeing the transformation in all our gorgeous doggos. Watching them bond to us and learn to trust us is so fulfilling. Today was a good day

13.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL With COVID 19 restrictions in the spotlight again, we thought we should put out another public notice so that everyone knows our expectations around the matter. If you have travelled interstate OR through any of the Queensland 'HOT SPOTS' we ask that you organise for someone else to collect your pets or call us to arrange for us to drop your precious pets home to you. If this is not possible, PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR when you arrive to pick up your pets and c...all us so we can bring your pets to you. Under no circumstances should you enter our office. GENERAL COVID SAFE MEASURES AS FOLLOWS Please ensure you maintain social distancing while on site at Paradise Pet Retreat. As always, we only ever allow 1 family in the office at a time. This is not a new rule but worth mentioning again. We have multiple hand sanitiser stations around the place and encourage everyone to use these before interacting with any of our team. As usual our hygiene standards will be excessive to protect our valued clients and our amazing team members. If you are unwell for any reason, please try to organise for someone else to collect your pets or call us to arrange for us to drop your precious pets home to you. We understand Queensland on a whole has been managing the COVID 19 spread very well. However we still need to be proactive to ensure we continue on the road to recovery. 13.01.2022 Doggy Daycare We might have to call it Water Wednesday I think! The pool was a big hit with the little doggo pack with the awesome EzyDog PFDs we got this week. Then we thought why don’t we just half empty to pool on Wednesdays so we make the most of it. So we did Everyone loved chasing the big ball thanks to Pierre showing us all how it’s done. Then it was on to play in the hose to cool down and Ruby, Merlin and Cleo showed off some acrobatics. And we also got an awesome... new frisbee too which was a great hit with all the doggos! Such a fun day all round with lots of wonderful furends

10.01.2022 Doggy Daycare Today was little dog day like all days there is always a mix of doggos in the pack and although we call it little dog day, we always have a couple bigger furends that come along too! Pierre the Frenchie heard about the tug-o-war championship and thought he would try to take home the trophy today. Although his competitors were twice his size, he showed the heart of a wolf and made sure they bought their best game. He decided to retire early as champ to sit in... the water bowl, his favourite pastime Jake and Milo turned themselves inside out when they saw Cleo performing her aerial acrobatics chasing the hose. Not to be outdone, they both put on quite the performance trying to catch the illusive hose and show off to their new girlfurend So much fun and many new furends made today. I’m sure the doggos are well asleep by now Apologies for the delayed post, it has been quite a busy day, both at DDC and around the grounds.

08.01.2022 Doggy Daycare Wow, what a day! The doggos had an absolute blast chasing the big ball around through the sprinklers wet dogs all round! See if you can spot George he might be small in size but don’t let that fool you, he gives all the big guys a run for their money ... We had a go at some sit training again today. Some of the dogs wanted the treat without the sit and some wanted to sit without the treat tough crowd today All in all another awesome day at DDC!

06.01.2022 Doggy Daycare If it’s chaseable, today we chased it! Frisbees, rope toys, balls, water, each other... Everything ... Big Beau the Maremma lead with the constant zoomies and everyone not far behind. Hard to take photos of zoomies and not just get blur so you’ll have to use your imagination We also had a go at some feet up training. Most of them figured it out pretty quick but Beau, Pascalle and Peachy certainly knew what they were doing Frankie the Staffy proved tough competition for the rope tug comp and went home undefeated champion A great day had by all and certainly some tired doggos tonight

01.01.2022 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT We are now LIVE It has been a little while in the making but we now have a 'BOOKING PORTAL' on our website. This means that you can access your profile and make any changes or updates, make bookings, make any amendments to bookings, update pet info and vaccination details, you name it, it can be done through this portal.... All existing customers already have a profile, however you can follow the prompts to set up a login so you can access your profile. We are one of the few businesses in Australia that have this feature on their website and certainly the only one in the Darling Downs region. As this is fairly new tech for us, there may be some teething pains but as always we will endeavour to make it as streamline and simple as possible.
