25.01.2022 Maude our ‘elderly’ Barnevelder snuck into the house yard to check out my tomato seedling collection. I think there’s around 20 varieties of tomatoes, chillies and eggplants and over 100 plants. Some of these will be available at the farm gate.$2.50 each or 3 for $6 and $2 thereafter. Loads of different varieties- cherry, salad, paste, beefsteak.

14.01.2022 A bit of drama last night when Amani ‘lost’ her baby. I walked past at 6pm there was no baby in sight and mum was making a noise. When I came back at 7 to bring everyone home to the dairy for dinner there was still no baby. Amani was calling with no answer. I decided to take the others down for their dinner and Amani followed. By the time she finished dinner she was panicking! Minnie the saanen got out of the gate in the process and we all raced up to the paddock, Amani yell...ing the whole time. For several minutes it was three hysterical crazy ladies on a mission to find the missing child. It was such a weird connection as it felt like she understood I was on that mission with her. I checked to make sure the kid hadn’t gotten through the wallaby fence into the spring dam, or was lost under the fallen timber. Finally after much sreaming from mum, a faint cry from where bubby had been sleeping in the grass completely oblivious to the panic around. 33 See more

08.01.2022 Yesterday evening the farm welcomed this little treasure into the world- a little earlier than I was led to believe! First time mum Amani has been doing a Stella job - despite it being a very windy day and a massive tree branch crashing down near them! Amani is named after some of the queens from the ancient Nubian dynasty- when she’s not busy being mum she’s definitely a royal pain in a*%*se!

01.01.2022 What’s on the breakfast menu? Homemade granola featuring very local (from up the road) organic hazelnuts from Mount Roland Hazelnuts and local honey.
