23.01.2022 Spring rain in Capeen

22.01.2022 Spring @ Old Mill Farm

21.01.2022 Hello, This season is really semi-tropical, with lots of rain follow by lots of hot and humid weather. Result so much green grass, pasture are so high that they require slashing. And as soon you slash not even a week later the grass is up again. The pasture by good management and less over grazing and in less than 2 years are gone super healthy. Honestly I wish, I own a rake and baler, so many bales of hay could be made out of it....

16.01.2022 Merry Christmas wishing everyone Happiness, Joy and Good Health. Just a few pictures of a new variety that my bees and mother nature created for me for Christmas. I guess it is a Patisson cross with a Lebanese Zucchini ;very nice to eat. And it pay to believe in self-seeding, and organically gardening even on a commercial size garden.

16.01.2022 With all my heart, Happy New Year 2017, lot's of Joy, Happiness and good Health sent your way for many years. Also Happy Sowing and Planting.

14.01.2022 Finally the Heaven open up in Paradise. After 12 days of heat and humidity with few intermittent showers less than 8 mm, therefore not very good for the garden... Silverbeet sweatering, tomatoes wiltering, beans crying for some coolness... Suddenly Heaven open up in less than 4 days a total of 82 mm but like any farmer I look at my Silverbeet who for some are sadly deceased but my Chinese bitter melon grew 3 times size in under a week. I should be happy the pasture grew high...er resulting for fatter lambs and calves, but no like any good organic farmer I complain, yes I whinge that too much rain on my new bed of Peas will cause seeds to rot and yellowing of leaves. Funny we are never happy but yessss!!! a total of 82mm and this morning a beautiful fog is lifting up from the valley floor maybe more rain or the return of Mister Sunshine. To be continued See more
