23.01.2022 Meet Matt - husband, father and IT professional by day. He started singing lessons last year, primarily to improve his breathing. Singing is also something that he’s always thought of doing, but never had the time nor the confidence to pursue. Creep was the first song that Matt learned and sang in public (in one of the Parallax shows). His passionate performance inspired people in the audience to give singing a go. The best moment was seeing his young son, get up on stage wi...th him...bravely conquering fear and drawing strength from what his father had just achieved. Meet Roy, a 20-year old dancer from the streets of Caloocan, Philippines. He fell in love with dance at a young age but didn’t have any formal dance lessons until his teens. Now a scholar of the world renowned UP Filipiniana Dance Group, Roy takes every opportunity to nurture his craft and share his love of dance with a broader audience. To him, dance is his refuge. This has helped him deal with stress and anxiety heightened by the pandemic. Dance also helps him stay fit and healthy - both body and mind. Matt and Roy - two artists with different stories, two artists from different worlds, performing SIDE BY SIDE.

17.01.2022 One of the good things that came out of this pandemic is finding new ways of creating and performing. When the second stage of lockdown was announced, we thought of a project that would allow us to connect and create - 'Side by Side Project' was born. 'Side by Side' is a collaboration between artists from different parts of the world to connect, through song and dance.... Our first piece is a collaboration between The Tryards (from Hongkong) and Amie (one our Parallax private singing students).
