21.01.2022 Floating shelves. Amazing the difference a few sticks of Vic Ash can have attached to a wall. Suddenly it’s brought to life!

21.01.2022 Two desks out the door! These two super cute mixed Australian hardwood desks feature a chamfered undercut, mortise and tenon joinery, tapered legs and are finished in Matt Osmo oil. Just check out that feature!

19.01.2022 Monster recycled Messmate LP case. This unit is over 3m long, 2.4 high and 400 deep made from 35mm thick recycled Messmate! Photos just don’t show how big this thing is. One of the heaviest units to build and transport I have ever done. It was great to get these photos from the very happy owner!

19.01.2022 Balcony bar. iPhone photos just don’t do this stunning slab of recycled bridge beam Iron bark justice. It is a stunner! With a great view of the city this is a perfect place for an evening wine or beer.

18.01.2022 Not a whole lot going on in the Parallel Lines factory at moment due to old mate Covid so looking back over some past jobs. This antique walking cane duck came to me with a broken beak and a bit worse for wear. Couldn’t leave him without a beak so made him a new one! Bit of TLC and he was good to go.... It’s not always about the big timber work!

14.01.2022 Solid plywood dining table. Not my usual timber! The client had a giant rectangular ply dining table and moving to a smaller house decided it would look good repurposed as a smaller circular table. They started the top but being 200mm thick and about 100kg it was a bit much for them so I finished the top and created the. Conical base which also weighs a tonne! This was all machined by hand. Electric planer and belt sander.

07.01.2022 Work in progress- almost solid Birch-ply dining table base. This thing is huge. 600 diameter at the base. All laminated, planed and sanded by eye. No lathe. Please nobody mention Close Encounters of the third kind

07.01.2022 Something a bit different. Custom 3.5m long Spotted gum hall storage unit with full depth push to open Drawers with white face Birch ply fronts. Also a nice study nook with small semi floating desk with waterfall end and floating shelves above.
